Economy stonks v22, infrastonksture

every day now, small caps get rekt. and every day, i buy into some small caps. and they still just keep dropping.

either 75% of the market is about to delist/go bankrupt/private or this trend's going to turn around. or the entire economy will just be f. agmann and we'll be living in idiocracy.

so the irony is that i might be suckering myself into some more 'investing' bullshit.

  • Peloton Interactive (PTON -7.0%) issues a statement after a development in an HBO show seems to have caught the attention of some investors.
  • Spoiler alert for just below regarding the plot of And Just Like That (Sex and The City revival).
  • During the opening episode of the series that streamed on HBO last night, the well-known Mr. Big character was shown collapsing while exercising on a Peloton exercise bike and then dying.
  • "Mr. Big lived what many would call an extravagant lifestyle — including cocktails, cigars, and big steaks — and was at serious risk as he had a previous cardiac event in season 6. These lifestyle choices and perhaps even his family history, which often is a significant factor, were the likely cause of his death. Riding his Peloton Bike may have even helped delay his cardiac event," read the statement from a member of Peloton's health and wellness advisory group.
lol! This is some funny shit.

lol I just bought some HOOD hahahha

Been shorting the shit out of HOOD. I think its ready for a reversal at some point.

I quit buying to many more small caps. They look dead. No volume, just constant selling.

Seems dangerous for the market with the current trends if small caps do not get some relief soon. Looks like a lot bankruptcies or going private next year if this doesn't stop. This doesn't bode well for the market really.

Just go all in on FAANG. And Papa Elon will send TSLA to 10 trillion according to some YT'ers lol.

UNP raised dividends another 10% after already doing a 10% raise in May. Biannual increases are a good sign not only for UNP but for the economy, since UNP serves as a bellwether. My yield on cost of the original shares I purchased in 2010 is now 12.9%. Out of fashion these days, but I love my dividends. WM also just announced a 13% increase.

I'd drop NFLX and FB and add MSFT.

Not sure what to name that acronym, though. MAGA doesn't quite seem right, lol. GAMA, maybe.

I'm in the same predicament. It's odd that nothing has really changed for Apple or Microsoft for them to continue mooning. Its like the sole purpose is
1. A flight to safety.

2. To keep the indexes rolling higher while big money exits all the smalls/mids/covid names/growth. Its like they are trying to camouflage the massive crashes happen in so many stocks.

Its also scary when expected inflation hikes can melt these stocks even faster. What happens when Jerome actually accelerates the taper....or God forbid raises rates? These stocks will crater.

Then add in that this type of inflationary environment/tightening of money supply can last years means these stocks may not come back for many years if ever.

I feel like I'm being slowly suckered in here. I give them a dollar...they give me 80 cents....in perpetuity until I'm broke. I have half a mind to just go 80% cash and wait for the dust to settle in 2023 or whenever. Only thing keeping me in is the fear of missing the rotation back in to the beaten down stocks.

"Finland has picked the F-35 to replace its aging fleet of warplanes in a $11.3 billion deal, the government announced Friday. Finland agreed to buy 64 of the Lockheed Martin-made F-35A fighter jets..."

Sooner or later this is stuff is going to show up in LMT's stock price. I still believe. It's still real to me, dammit!

LMT's market cap is now about $95 billion. Meanwhile RIVN is still $102 billion.

easy, just make the fighter jets powered by 'lectric and classed as EVs.

Has to be an opening dip then recover by mid day.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand another day of the russell being obliterated.

aapl $34894896587346504375094367504395605478560934659843658904368956437895687345, rest of market fucked

my small cap watch list is just new ATLs day after day. shit's ridiculous. every retard is worried about a bubble and the same retards are the ones pumping the bubble. meanwhile, if a company is in the lower half of the s&p to a small cap, it's probably bled 20-90%

aaaaaaaaand of course, cnbc retards are pumping aapl for absolutely moronic reasons. calling it a 'fixed income stock.'

earlier, some retard on cnbc called it a metaverse stock.

BUY APPLE BECAUSE THINGS APPLE HAS LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH! BUY BUY BUY

Yeah I think that’s me done checking the portfolio for a few months here. Will look at leaps and I guess I’ll just buy the dip for another year.

market is pretty much fucked tbh. Really bad. Maybe Jan things will get better but now. It’s spooked completely.

I mean probably rightfully spooked no? We're about to begin a phase of tapering and rates rising. Being long now is fighting the fed

Yup, to many negatives here for the market to recover. Covid, more lockdowns internationally, inflation, tapering, you name it. All the ingredients are there to send the market into the gutter (albeit micro, small, med caps are pretty much there). We are in a bear market practically, FAANG are hiding the real underlying damage here to stocks. My watch list which is massive has been horrid to look at for well over a month now. Just blood red apart from the big hitters. I think we will bottom out by Jan and stocks will trade sideways, be flat for quite some time.

Hedge in oil, mining, bank stocks etc. Buy the dip on your highest convictions. Get your positions set.. 2022 will likely be grim, but a good time to have all your positions locked and loaded. Going forward this is a fantastic opportunity to buy some discounted stocks if your long and holding for +5 years so I am somewhat okay with a correction. Those that bought at the top, well, they will be waiting helluva a long time to recover in some stocks lol. Equally anyone buying UPST, CHWY at outrageous valuations and PE deserve everything they get for being so stupid.

A new day, a new all time low.

FFS Sft man

Oh. Don't get me started on SFT lol. I bought the dip around 6 times. Down 40% odd I think. My worse buy since HYLN. Honestly I forgot I even bought this stock the past few weeks, its in one of my long accounts I never ever check, thank god.

All good points. I will say that thus far the market has shown an inability to rotate out of the big names but here today they are showing signs.

Nvda and amd took a good crack over last week and today especially. I knew both would and shorted them several times but always got out too early.

Tesla, king of all bubbles got wacked. Even the megas like Aapl and google got hit. Obviously there's a long way to go but its a start. I'm close to 50% cash atm and many of my stocks are already pulverized. Ill do some trading with my cash but I'm not going long until something big happens
