Economy Stonks v11, the stonkening

Going to hold NIO calls and stock through NIO day. Hopefully it doesn't flop. lol

Bought about 50 at $18. Sold some at $40. I’m holding to the rest long term.

Most of my investment the past 6 months has been up at least 20%. TSLA and Tan, more than doubled.

My downed stocks: Rocket, Apple and Teladoc.

Thank you for including some stocks that havent worked; these are always a great perspective.

For example. About a year ago I asked "tell me your biggest losers" and Rob and I gave SPWR and COTY respectively. SPWR has gone up 5x since then and COTY 2x lol.

U have a short position in Tesla still?

I bought a put today right before close...February 26, 700.

Rocket has been so disappointing. Just doesn't move at all.. I had to sell out my position a few months ago and it was the right decision.

Seems the stock will continue to suck in 2021 lol

I made some money in its run up to earnings...sold near 30.

Rebought later and yeh it didn't do shit and I recently sold out.

Imo its gonna explode one of these days and it'll happen quick.

re: rocket, i've been steadily loading up a bit on it. seems like a helluva sleeper... that probably shouldn't be a sleeper. once they announced they're planning on buying back half their market cap worth of stock, it seemed like a slam dunk. just a matter of timing/it likely underperforming a crazed market until then (q4?). but it's also (theoretically) low risk, so i figured it's an ok place to park some cash (and sell otm weeklies on).

yup, and no regrets. mostly because i really just wanted maxn, anyway. lolz. speaking of sleepers (seems weird to call a stock up ~100% in the last couple months a sleeper), but maxn's split price (and singapore's $) was ~$37/share. ie: it's theoretically fairly valued circa before the solar run-up.

I like to give an overall perspective instead of just talking about the good investment. Some gamblers just talk about how much they won but never say how much they lost, don’t want to be like that.

probably going to buy apple on the next dip. Only thing I’m holding right now that’s down is federal express. Down about 8% so far.

Rkt has basically been building a 5 month base and its bouncing off support atm.

a+, and no worries. when i'm losing (or just being unable to get executions due to a lack of volume/bot manipulation), i make it known. lolz. and i think a lot of the others here do, too.

One thing I’ve learned in short time investing is to be patient. I understand that we can use the funds somewhere to get return right away. But I’ve lost funds by selling too quickly instead of just putting more funds in. I lost about $1500 by selling some stocks/etfs and buying other stocks (which I probably gained $4k). But if I just added more money into my portfolio, I’d have that extra $1500 along with the $4k gain.

Regarding Rocket, yeah I thought it’d be higher because everyone is buying houses and re financing. It’ll be a long term hold for me, at least 3-4 years.

Oh fuck my Softbank spac that literally debuted today is up 5% after hrs. Selling half and hoping it tanks lol. Nice end of the week.

Yeah I have a short on, but havent gotten aggressive. I could see some retardo 1000 run on numeracy glee, and if it gets there it means some other shit I own way more of prolly is rip roaring (spacs and similar trash)

Yeah thats a caustic dangerous strategy that is only self-serving pump shit

Roger that. Cost me about 3300 for the put. Thinking about putting a stop on it at +50% and _50%. Any thoughts?

My theory is that even if I get lucky enough for it top dip, it will not be long until its bought back up. Conversely it could just keep running to 1000 like u said

Not always the case. I had a bunch of ford stock that was down for a long time. I dumped it right around the pandemic hit. Ending buying a bunch of Broadcom around $200 and made my money back plus some.

I dont have enough insight beyond having an equity short unfortunately.

I'm debating to get back into the stock tbh. Just kinda have sour grapes for selling at a 15% loss. It was actually my largest position last year, 40% of my portfolio I was a believer until I realized everything else was making moves but this stock.. Just don't understand why it's not took off, there numbers are solid. It should be around 30 imo.

What's your price target?
