Yeah. I follow him because I don't mind positive blind energy. I think he truly believes the shit he is peddling which makes it more palatable.

I do fear for his followers. The dude talks like everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur and drop their day job.

There is definitely some redeeming aspect to positivity, but to me he is the emotional equivalent of too much cologne and I can't stand being around it.

Portnoy is a total shill, but he at least wears it on his sleeve and embodies the everyman aspect.
Ex: candidly bragging about having a hair transplant and taking viagra to bang models while dudes like Musk or Robbins would melt into the floor if they had to admit that shit.

the divesting angle is hilarious, since intel has money/never needed money. if they divest, they'll basically just... have money and no products. they might as well split into SPACs and buy random companies.

I was at a small company xmas gathering like 10 years ago at a hotel in Palm Springs that was going on the same time as a Tony Robbins cult meeting. Like 95% of the rooms were for the attendees and those folks were spending insane amounts of coin for the multi-day seminar. We would run into a bunch of the folks at the hotel bar after the seminar and some of the fans you really feel for. It's amazing how many people are actually come seeking someone to guide their life rather than just seeking advice.

Portnoy is originally from Boston, where I'm from so I get a lot of his local sports references and the dude is clearly truly passionate about what he does and hasn't gone out of his lane too much.
He sells stuff he actually loves: gambling on sports and stonks and talking shit.
I think he is getting a little too culty and Oprah for bros with these "hey we're giving money from gambling addicts to local businesses" things as a shtick for his bosses/ratings, but his Pizza shit seems 1000x more genuine than say, Guy Feiri DDD.

and i just sold a 22.50p 1/15 (just 1). i figure it's probably not going to 21 in 2 weeks, but we'll see.

i almost made a bullish play on this the other week and then meh'd myself out of it after seeing the run-up it's had. i always have a hard time playing recent SPACs/IPOs/etc way higher than their initial price, barring some significant update. i keep erring on the side of not having to sit on something i don't care much about...

I like eating food at high restaurants but also my favorite place to get a burger in Orlando is a dive bar. Great food does not have to be fancy. I get Mofongo once a month from a food truck and usually I am the only white dude in line.

Agreed.

Guy has been at a couple Burger Bash events over the years which takes place around Miami Food and Wine. He made a horrible slider one year that was like an empenada but the dude puts it out there. A lot of the other chef's at the event were high brows that look down on traditional American food fare and people like Guy. Kudos to Guy for being himself.
