Economy Stonks v11, the stonkening

probably because they'll do an offering soon lol
Offering was a couple months ago. They have the shares but not used them yet. Did it so they have leverage when negotiating a buyout.

A smalltime stonk would NEVER offer shares twice in a year; unpossible! ;)

Enjoying that VRTX? :)

i noticed my options orders aren't being duped today. lolz.

Yeah thanks for that one. I got in at 212.16. They have cystic Fibrosis drugs and generics for that drug on lockdown for a while. I will sit back collect dividends, and then a year before their monopoly on that drug ends, then look to sell if they don't develop another money maker.

$MVIS Just touched $5 for a hot second.

Seeing as stocks don't pay dividends anymore, what is a stock other than just a piece of paper? It doesn't seem right to me. I know it's supposed to be ownership but it seems like a scam lol.

Also who voted for Bernie? What effect would his policy of companies making 20% more stocks and giving them to democratic employee funds have had?

He also wanted to make a financial transaction tax. What would that have done to the markets and your stocks?

bernie's policies would have obliterated american stocks and been a boon to foreign exchanges.

SPACs going berserk lol. SKLZ ripping 6%. Hoping for some good action next week.

FUBO is mooning again. Its up over 70% this month alone man.

I'm serious imagine if you "owned" a company but you weren't allowed to make money/ income from the company? Do you actually own the company or is that paper just bullshit?

How?

Closed 2 GLD contracts that make the 3rd one free....gonna let it run...Feb exp.

Everything is printing again today...waiting for other shoe to drop

How do you guys trade? fundamentals, math/ modeling (like black. scholes type stuff and market correlations and the greeks and stuff), price action?

How do you square away active trading with the fact that a broad market portfolio like the S&P 500 that you never touch outperforms even the best fund managers in the world? And anyone who does outperform it only does so with the odds of flipping a coin (like if 500 people flip a coin 10 times, 1 guy will get heads 10 times in a row)? The efficient market hypothesis has been beyond proven time after time, it's not even up for debate.

Would never vote for Bernie. Plus there plenty of Dividend paying stocks.

I don't know the specifics of his tax plan and at what level it was taxable. But if he plan to tax every transaction including small ones like us retail guys. I think that would crash the stock market. Pretty stupid in my opinion. I have no problem taxing gains at sale but every transaction? Kinda crazy.

Might stop day traders from day trading and losing money.

Weird because I have about 12 stocks that pay dividends. I am waiting for $F to bring that dividend back.

I think he also wanted to make companies produce 20% new stocks and give them to democratic employee funds. What effect would that have had?

So if company ABC has 100 shares owned by different people, they'd make 25 (20% of 125) new shares so there are 125 stocks, and give them to a democratic employee fund.

are you seriously this retarded?

...so you ARE seriously this retarded, then.

how would diluting companies by 20% and increasing costs of trading hurt publicly traded american companies? SERIOUSLY? it literally answers itself.

<LikeReally5>

i tried to sell puts but it moved quickly past my prices. should have just played it for a quick flip, especially with the witches tomorrow (ie: could have sold calls for tomorrow if i needed a hedge)
