Economy stonks only go up v6.1

I hadn't actually considered that until now. A lot of the people over 50-60-etc, who also may have more money invested, are much more likely to pull than someone like myself or you. I know if I was older I definitely wouldn't take the risk investing back in like I have been. That makes a lot of sense. It's the 30 year olds that act like the apocalypse has come I can't understand though.

and with the CARES act, a lot of people will be draining their retirement, which will unfortunately put them further behind.

I put a big short on Zoom yesterday but kicking myself for closing most of it.
Apparently some companies banning it due to security concerns.
CEO says users were up to a record 200 mil in March, but I can't imagine many of those are longterm paying customers, especially as execs sell shares in the 120s (@ $130 premarket)

Holy shit something just happened to Luckin Coffee. Was randomly checking chinese stock symbols. It's down to $9 a share as of thise post from 26. Waiting to find news. Either zeroing or this is a great buy time. Edit: Down to $4.5 on news of COO Fraud/faking transactions.
Super interesting to see if this is a ruse to swoop cheap shares from sucker Americans who bought high, or China just kills this company off out of shame/in favor of Starbucks.

i was just about to post on this... 80% drop

Damnit that Luckin trade would be at $8 and halted now. Sigh....too busy making 10% in 30 minutes shorting zoom -_-

re: zoom... well, shit. i knew it was going down, but didn't know when/etc, obviously.

i tried to get some $100 5/15 puts last week, but the IV was like 500%

should have just shorted (or bought the puts, anyway. would have tripled, i think). c'est la vie.

and lolz, rh fractional shares.

oh, robinhood...

i'm still salty over their $75 offer to not sue them.

lolz. i guess my uso calls are fucking golden.

except for the $5 covered calls i sold that expire tomorrow (i mean, i'm still profiting bigly on this, but it's capped at $5.08/share)

(trump ended oil war?)

hahahahahahahhahaa

scratch that, my buy order to get my covered calls back actually went through (during the freeze?). what the fuck. no idea how this happened.

edit: and i got them for .04

NO PART OF THIS MAKES SENSE

edit 2:

lolz.

already sold (5.44), bought back in (5.18), and sold calls for tomorrow.

pretty much have to sell calls against any bounce these days (XLE). what time horizon do you typically aim for?

depends. on holdings, i prefer weeklies... but obviously can settle for monthlies. but i tend to price the calls strategically based on movements/etc. in theory, the premiums should help mitigate losses of the downward market. in practice, it's a clusterfuck of hits and misses, with the insane volatility we have. that said, high IV = killer premiums, so i'm not only sticking with it, i've been making some insane/suicidal moves to grab nutso theta decay from anyone dumb enough to buy calls/puts on shit like acb/grpn/etc

when i buy contracts, i tend to stick to LEAPS. (my uso calls are $4 and $5, 1/2022 and 12/2022)

edit: i tend to not play any ETFs, though. except for the occasional SPY put/call, in exceptional situations.

Anybody still using RH is an idiot.

lolz! before it was even here (or known to be here, february), there were already what - 5 different megathreads about it on sherdog? each FULLLLLLL of panic and hysteria and fearmongering and fake videos from shit years ago and etc and etc.

it's WHY there's so much panic. there were 478532874574864875 tweets of impending doom back in february.

lolz @ limiting hysteria to riots in a thread about a panicked collapse of the market.

...oh, it's you.

lolz @ pwning yourself in the other thread and then e-stalking me to this one.

this clown argued that covid was out of control and then turned around and literally said it's "under control" about 40 minutes later, while following me around and laughably badly strawmanning me repeatedly, in wider vicious circles.

lolz @ so many people bitching about the market and losing money and calling it rigged and a sham and manipulated and assuming that i'm broke when i'm not the one complaining about losing $

θ

Your evidence that the entire nation had reached the level of everyone acting hysterical and this is what crashed the market is that before the virus arrived there were some posts on a karate forum and some hashtags about it? That shows it wasn’t the virus that tanked the economy? Fucking LOL! “The nation was in a complete meltdown look they were tweeting about current events online! Economy crushing behavior”. derp!

So if it was the hysteria that tanked the economy and not the virus arriving and you claim we were all neck deep in hysteria long before cases started multiplying here, then show us back then where all these business closed prior to virus hitting the nation, show us where all these folks were laid off based off the madness (tweets lol) before the virus came. What cities issues stay at home orders prior to cases existing? You can’t, because those would be tangible examples of the county reacting hysterically prior to the virus, and that never happened. That happened after the virus got folks sick here and started exponentially spreading. You clutching to sherdog posts and tweets as the real causes of the market crash is hilarious.

You made a bad market prediction, shit happens to folks in this game. Just admit it and carry on instead of being such a bitch about saying “I was wrong”.

Wow, still emotional about that last thread? Triggered much lol?
-You posted you couldn’t believe THE reason things were shutdown was because we didn’t want the deathly to get the flu.
-I said that wasn’t THE reason, we wanted to contain the rate of infection so hospitals don’t get as overrun as NYC and we can have a manageable response since half the folks getting admitted to the hospital with corona were not deathly.
-you screeched “IT CANT BE CONTAINED IT’S A PANDEMIC”
-i pointed out you can clearly flatten the curve and contain the rate of infection.
-more screeching from you about “it can’t be contained look NYC!”
-I pointed out restrictions on contact had contained the increase in infection rates across the country.
-you started going back and forth from “no look at this one city that means it’s ALL impossible to contain” and “bro I know I’ve been talking about flattening the curve for weeks” essentially punching your own argument in the dick.
-then apparently you stayed mad for a few days lol.

yeah, i'm gonna stop that wall of bullshit there, because, as usual (always? have you made even ONE reply to me that wasn't just strawman? i bet you can't cite even one) - you're strawmanning like hell.

troll smarter, not harder.

they are being sued for giving FB user data. My lady works as a forensic interviewer and they are deciding today if zoom can still be used by her organization.

I said your assertion was bullshit. You said no look warroom posts and hashtags dude, that’s country-wide hysteria. lol your words not mine.

right. because the sherdog shit isn't an indication of wide sentiment when even a krotty forum are full of panic.

clearly, i was implying that sherdog posts control the world. /s

troll better.

Someone posting regarding a current event topic online doesn’t = hysterical behavior. You either don’t understand what the word hysteria means or you resigned yourself to being hyperbolic to avoid admitting you were wrong.

Behaving hysterically would have been the people actually shutting down cities before the US saw a case. That never came close to being a reality until the virus was here.

...when they're posting hysterical fearmongering and etc, declaring how terrified they are and that they've stockpiled masks and etc, it IS. ffs, man. do you TRY to be wrong, every time? i know you have a hate boner for me, but the shit you say is just downright retarded and factually devoid. every time.
