stomach workout?

ive recently started training, im hoping to goto some jiu-jitsu classes but i wanna lose a little bit of weight first, i wanna work off my stomach, anyone recommend some basic exercises i can do to work it off (listing number of reps. how often etc.)

Diet and excersize. It is tough to do spot reduction fat loss. If you eat healthy and excersize then the fat will come off as it needs. Just start BJJ and that will help you with part of the excersize.

It's not tough, it's IMPOSSIBLE without surgery.

Agreed. You are born with a certain number of fat cells and you'll die with the same amount. They expand or contract with however much tasty goodness you're storing at the moment. Your body will take fat out of cells as it chooses. For most guys, the gut is the first area to fill and the last to dissappear. Start running/swimming/jumping rope/whatever the hell makes you very very tired. That'll work just fine.
 
let me be more specific. do some compound movments at moderate intensity for extended sets to loss wieght fast.
