At least I din't sell any and was able to get rid of some today. I would have added but it was starting to get to be 10% of my portfolio. lol. I will continue to buy on dips too.

Just looked and it seems they had some good PR thing come out yesterday after trading on drilling results.

Just read more and this increases their output by about 1000 barrels on guidance of 27k up to 28k per day. So about a 3-4% increase...and yet a 224% gain? Seems like some shorts getting squeezed and will give some back.

Well the stock just IPOd like last year at $18 so it took a hard fall.

Yeah, it IPOd last July at 19. Just looked it up.

Corn has been on a run.

CORN prices climbed to the highest since June 2016 today amid reports that US producers are delaying corn planting following a record wet spell across the country, with more rainy weather forecast to come. Today’s advance marks the 10th daily gain in the past 11 days as the commodity powers upwards from the near eight-month lows hit on May 13. The gains have reached more than 20% from the base.

Icahn is back

(Bloomberg) -- Activist investor Carl Icahn launched a lawsuit against Occidental Petroleum Corp. with the goal of potentially seeking board seats and a sale of the company.

The billionaire investor said in the suit filed Thursday in Delaware Chancery Court that he’s built a $1.6 billion stake in the company and is upset by its decision to acquire Anadarko Petroleum Corp. for $38 billion and the $10 billion financing deal it lined up from Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. without a shareholder vote.

"The Anadarko deal is very much a bet-the-company deal from the point of view of the common stockholders. Not consulting them on the deal was disenfranchising at a minimum," Icahn said in the suit.

While there’s a "close, and unfortunate, certainty" the Anadarko deal will close by the end of the year, a sale of Occidental "might still be a viable option for the stockholders," Icahn said. "It certainly should be explored by the board, as should all other feasible strategic options."

Icahn said he’s considering soliciting other shareholders to call a special meeting to potentially elect new board members. Occidental shareholders voted earlier this month to lower the threshold to call a special meeting to 15% from 25%, going against the board’s recommendation.

I just tried to bottomfeed Zuora ZUO. Down almost 30% on mediocre earnings. Was a Cramer darling 2 months ago. Does cloud/subscription services for online companies.

Had my GPS Gap Short only fill 1/3rd @ 18.5 after hrs grrrr @ 17.9 now.

I'm thinking about OXY again. This has been a disaster and the stock price shows it. I don't see how it can get much worse especially with Icahn involved now. If the deal is stopped, that will probably be good. Just the reexamination of it could be good. Icahn is known for greenmailing people. He is a shareholder and he wants the stock up.

I checked NVEE today. Been on a good run, should have held.
