That's actually a good example of Jones not being a KO threat at range. First of all, it wasn't a KO, just the beginning of a TKO sequence. Second, Jones landed flush with the shin to the skull on a back-leg roundhouse against a fighter leaning into the kick, which would pretty much always be a KO if someone were actually going for the KO. But instead of being a KO attempt, it was a very controlled kick; Jones didn't kick through the target, and he put his foot back down behind himself in a very ordinary fighting stance.Ya'll are tripping about no KO threat at range, doesn't have many KO's from range of course, but there's for sure a threat.

Jones simply doesn't throw much in the way of power shots from range, because most power shots risk leaving a fighter off balance or out of position and Jon is all about maximizing his advantages and minimizing variance, especially the latter.
