* Stipe refusing to fight until contract is re-negotiated !

WME is worth billions, they're not hard up for cash lmao

Good for Stipe, who continues to be one of the most underrated and underappreciated fighters ever. Get your money
You make it sound like $4 billion is chump change to them.

They are not in danger of losing $4b though
UFC even with PPV down will be profitable this year. Most likely their third best year (maybe 4th)

lol this isn't a firefighter thing this is just a being a guy type of thing. Not saying all guys but I will say most.
i've worked a lot of jobs in my time, and i remember being a younger buck. not every guy out there is a complete piece of shit willing to risk throwing his wife and his children away so he can get some pussy that doesn't belong to him.

I've never been inside of a loose vagina, so I don't know if they feel different, but I know the rest, feel pretty fucking similar. You don't shit on your kids so you can say "I fucked monica. it was cool."

I agree with all of this but a lot of guys feel the opposite.

Well Stipe is about to become the most dominant UFC HW champ ever. And it's not like the champs do have much influence on the marketing. Sure there are exeptions like Conor or Ronda that just take the world by storm but most of that part is on the shoulders of the UFC.

I agree and i hope Stipe is paid the most in his division but he needs to generate numbers and revenue to do that. Right now more people tune in for an Alistair Overeem fight than Stipe and that's due to promotions ability to promote for sure.

My best friend was a paramedic and is a firefighter and he's not like that at all. You're just hanging around the wrong people it seems. Also, guys in every other profession aren't exactly saints either.
just to clear things up - i was definitely not hanging around those people by any kind of preference. lol And I know not everyone is like that, thank god, but my experiences in those two jobs left that bitter association which can be hard to shake if you're surrounded by it to an extreme degree.

Trust me though, I try to steer clear of those fucks. I've got a handful of kids myself and I never want to do something that can fuck their lives up, or see me removed from the picture. It's always been a thing for me, in fact I got fired from the hospital for choking a PA in the ER waiting room after he took his wedding ring off to try to hook up with one of the techs who came in for her shift.

in hindsight that was a terrible and immature decision on my part (and it could have ended badly for either OR both of us, physically speaking), as it was a well paying job and I don't run around trying to start any kind of physical confrontations, but he turned to me (I was working the greeter, which is like a sped up registration slot to keep the patient flow moving) and made a joke out of it as she was approaching. I had fair relationship with that guy. I knew he had two daughters at home. It just completely pushed me over the edge.

I def do everything i can to avoid those kind of people, and I'm glad I've found work in a field where it's not something I've encountered. I actually work in a professional setting as opposed to an incognito hormone fueled frat house.

and my thing is, if you're 25 and you're single and the girl you're trying to hook up with is in a similar boat, by all means - have a fucking blast. But to fuck with someone else's entire life is just... that's a terrible thing to do. Decisions like that can have life long effects on kids. Decisions like that lead to jealous murders and depressed suicides.

for me it's simple: If you're not happy with one vagina, get a divorce and start planning your visitation situation - then go start fucking all the girls you want. Don't crush somebody on an emotional level for a piece of ass.

IKR? A fighting promotion who doesn't actually promote fighters. And some people here still actually think Dana deserves his money. SMH.
The product was so good that it sold in spite of the terrible packaging. And we had to listen to assholes on here calling White a genius for years. Everytime a fighter complained or quit it was, "good riddance, you sucked anyways. You signed the contract, you're welcome to leave."
Well, now big names are leaving and complaining. This organization had an actual, legitimate stranglehold on MMA. People calling MMA 'UFC'. An actual monopoly, bought and paid for, and they are losing it. That is head up ass poor management. The winners here are the Fertittas - they rode it, realized they had created dissent, and sold it at its near height.

The problem is his name is Stipe Miocic. Seriously, Cro Cop was smart. No one even knows Cro Crop's real name! Stipe needs a marketing kick in the head.

If stipe sold PPVs, then the champions clause would pay him way more than Reem's 800K. If he had any fans he would be easily making well over $1 million per fight in PPV points.

People saying honor the contract then renegotiate once it's up for a better deal are idiots and are definitely not anyone in the legal/managerial profession. That's horrible advice to give to a client, Stipe has more power now than he did when he first made the deal so he has a right to get more now than he has before. The UFC has a history of renegotiating contracts for fighters before the deal has ended, Conor renegotiated his contract multiple times for more money, Ferguson recently renegotiated his contract for more money (you idiots also said he should have honored his contract and cost himself hundreds of thousands of dollars lol). This is the fight business, with emphasis on business, you people seem to understand for the most part that the UFC is a business and should do what is in the best interest of their business (I agree with that) but you seem to not understand that fighters are also a business and need to do what is in their best interest as well.

Shouldn't the HW Champ be the best paid fighter on the roster?

If they call you the baddest man on the planet....pay him

dw: stipe is retired, you know? hes never coming back...

Having the belt isnt the key to the vault. overeem is the most decorated fighter in the ufc

I look at it like the NFL. There is zero loyalty on the side of the owners, so the players renegotiate any chance they get. Fighters need to the the same way. The UFC buries and cuts fighters left and right. They have no loyalty and neither should the fighters. Get your money and get out

Breaking News:

Dana White intends to shut down the heavyweight division entirely

Go get that money Stipe, guy deserve it....

I think people tuning in for Alistair cause they know who he is because of the Lesnar fight and his Strikeforce run.

Doesn't really change what i'm saying though.

Stipe needs to become "known" more so people want to spend money on seeing him fight.

You get a % of PPV only after a particular marker which as to be negotiated. Your % is based on the negotiation and who also has % on the card.. He can perhaps make 200 to 300k given his PPV numbers thusfar. And I see no sign he UFC has interest in pushing him as an entity more than the standard. So I'm not sure what Stipe is supposed to do about his "lack of marketing"

Stipe Miocic has a little leverage. The UFC HW Championship gives you some pull.
