Stipe gonna make Jones go sleepy

I don't see this happening especially considering Stipe's time out of the cage.

With all the ~recent upsets (Jizzy, Val, Nunes, Usman, Sterling, etc.) I don't take anything for granted no more, and won't be surprised one bit if Stipe somehow finds a way to beat Jones...!

Exactly...it's as if people have learned nothing over the last 10 impossible upsets. Jones could Def lose. Will it happen? I have no idea

I wish, but Stipe's only gotten older and he got starched by Ngannou and he was looking washed even back in the DC trilogy

Yeah he was washed when he beat one of the best ever 2 out of 3 times

This has to be up there with Izzy dominated Poatan by winning 1 of 4

Cormier couldn’t wrestle fuck Stipe, you really think a heavyweight Jon jones is capable of it?
Ya, I do. Jones was able to wrestle fuck DC. If Jon wants it to go to the ground, he has the size and the strength/technique to get it there.

I give him a 40% chance at winning. Don't let him have his moments he's naturally bigger. What happened to DC could happen to Jones just may look a little different.

Stipe needs to scream OH in Jon's ear. That's going to catch him off-guard. And then land a big punch.

Can you elaborate why you think Jon will submit a fighter who has never been submitted before and has fought way bigger fighters than Jon? I see people say this but I'm not sure what they base it on.
Because Jon's submission game I'd better than everyone Stipe has fought. Jon is a very good wrestler who can force people into grappling exchanges or jump on an opening after a knockdown. Jon is well aware of the difference in power snd will absolutely not play the striking game with Stipe. Stipe is coming off a massive lay off. Stipe is old and far past his prime. Etc etc etc.

Like I said, I'd love to be wrong but Jon has everything going for him here. Stipe good TDD but not a lot of experience fighting off submissions on the albeit rare occasions when he goes down

Ok I appreciate the reply. I think Jon himself is still a bit of a mystery at HW. He's 36 and had a 3 year hiatus and we've only seen him in the cage for like 2 minutes since then. I mean, Stipe is not Gane so I don't expect it to be so easy to do the same to him. I do think Jon is going to win, but I think a lot of people are underestimating what Stipe is capable of. There isn't really a big size difference and once people see them face off I think maybe some opinions will alter.

I guess he was looking washed because he beat DC clean unlike our boy Picto?
Also, before he annhilated Gane, what little we saw of the striking exchanges, Jon looked considerably slower and less agile than at 205. I think Jon will win, but I would not at all be surprised if Stipe finds his chin (it will be the hardest Jon has ever been hit). 60/40 Jon.
Another note, after a brutal knockout, the guys that look like shit are the guys that come back way too soon and haven't given their brain time to heal. The layoff for Stipe may end up being the best decision he had, and the effects of ring rust are highly debated.
Bisping/GSP is a good example of both. GSP looked great after a long time off in another division, finishing Bisping. Bisping, even though he was choked not TKO'd, still took considerable damage and came back three weeks later to fight Gastellum, getting sparked cold because he hadn't had enough time off.

Maybe so. I'll be cheering Stipe on but I just struggle to see this going well for him. Stipe is a phenomenal fighter but with age, ring rust, and Jon's style...idk. Best case scenario, Stipes TDD holds up and he can make the most out of the striking

stipe struggled with DC. not much of a chance against jones.

id be surprised if he makes it to a decision. jones will pick him apart from the outside, get him down, and grind him into the canvas.

Who else is picking Stipe to ko Jones in November?

stipe looks ready sherbros, check out the video below. Jones is gonna get finished by the goat

Good production.
Not sure what this has to do with the actual fight however sir.

Jon’s sub game is nowhere near Werdum level. And he was the guy who put Cain to sleep. And how is Jon’s cardio gonna be at HW if he has to go a few rds? Stipe has a decent chance of winning.
