Stipe’s win over Frank looking pretty good right now

And Stipe is the only fighter that has been able to take francis shots. Everyone else got dropped as soon as he landed. Even the second fight Stipe took more shots then anyone else has ever taken.

"oh no, it was all takedowns that's why Miocic was piecing Ngannou up on the feet"

"oh no, Ngannou was already gassed" when all that was happening in the very first round

"oh no, Ngannou was green" despite looking hardly any different in that fight - and ko'ing everybody before and since that fight - while Miocic looked like a grandpa in their second fight
Dishonest people are a cancer, especially when they know they are lying to themselves but dont want admit it. Ngannou who fought stipe the second time had improved leaps and bounds , everyone with working eyes could see it.

Natural Power!!

I wouldn't say Ngannou was green but definitely lacked facing too much adversity right up until he met Stipe. Francis was mopping up the old and new guard like it was nothing. Kinda hard to grow from these experiences

And you gotta give Stipe major props for the way he performed. Probably his best performance against one of the most dangerous guys around . His head movement was really good in that fight

There's no doubt Francis was a lot better and more prepared in their rematch. Tho whether or not Stipe was on his way down by that point I couldn't tell you

Last nights supposed loss was more of a win, and no one did shit in that black beast fight, so definitely wasn’t beaten, but in the first Stipe fight, he was beat to the punch standing, and completely dominated on the ground.

I always forget that ngannou has a great chin on him

Bad night for me, got horrible customer service at the sports bar I went to in Hawthorne California. So bad, I ended up just eating Subway next door. They comped my food and gave it to me free. My girl then talks to the owner of the Laundromat she washed her clothes at the time about the Khabib and Conor fight and he was talking about he just bought a sports bar in Hawthorne and she tells him about what happened to me there and he offered free food and entry to their bar for Khabib and Conor and I declined even with a that. Man of principles, but I was pissed off the entire card.

This. It wasn't Stipe's decline, it was Francis' improvements (in particular anti-grappling) that made the difference in that 2nd fight.

Stipe is a dog, and got caught trying to KO Ngannou, whom he had just caught with a counter right. Stipe literally went down swinging.

But at the end of the dau6he still got KTFO lol. Don't see why you are bragging about it.

i mean, there's an order of events. stipe fans/ufc shills/corporate employees are trying to hold this one win, 5 years ago, as some sort of proof that stipe is the better boxer today. even though after that, ngannou flatlined his ass. 5-6 years ago, in a MMA match, with the threat of the takedown, stipe looked good. but ngannou already revenged that loss and KO'd him cold. something stipe never did. shill harder and cope.
I agree. It's similar to how people discredit Pavlovich by using his loss to Overeem 5 years ago as some sort of proof that Pavlovich is not any good. Fighters change and develop throughout their careers - some better than others. I would rather see how a fighter does after being finished or outclassed for 25 minutes, than base my opinion of him/her solely on their doninant wins.

not bragging, just stating that he can still be considered having a good chin when hes able to take 20 shots to the head before getting ko'd and other just need 1.
For the record Struve never ko'd stipe, he was still standing when the fight got stopped. Hes only been knocked down once before he fought against ngannou (overeem). Then DC knocked him out cold but its debatable he still wasnt fully recovered from the first fight he had with ngannou. Certainly seeing the amount of shots he was able to take in the next 2 fights with DC.
I mean its safe to say he has one of the best chins out there.

Green how? Francis was knocking out everyone. Calling a fighter green is dumb especially when the fighter was fighting for a title. What green fighter gets a title shot?

Francis beat an old ass stipe, I wonder why being “green” is a better excuse than being old
Had been training for 4 years only, had no background in anything at all before MMA. Stipe was an NCAA division 1 wrestler and golden gloves boxing champ before entering MMA so not only did he have the edge in Experience insode the cage but also had lots of experience before even starting MMA. Still impressive considering Ngannou was knocking everybody out but he wasn't final form Ngannou yet.

The first stipe fight was like his seventh UFC fight + it was a short notice fight if memory serves right. Im a huge fan of both btw
You think "green" is 7 UFC fights deep, with multiple wins over ranked opponents? IMO, that might not be absolute peak, but it sure isn't green, either.

Stipe was unfortunate in the second fight, terribly egregious behaviour when Francis ran away and didn’t act honourably and granted stipe the rematch. Can never understand how he has fans after that.
Cause everyone knew how the 3rd would play out. Stipe was pretty over the hill and if he does come back that hill be in the back. While he walks towards the graveyeard.

Ngannou was gassed from throwing windmill punches. Stipe didn't land any consistent offense on him until the end of the first round and Frank that thrown a ton of haymakers and been held up against the fence.

The fact that he'd physically rolled over everybody that he fought before that didn't mean that he wasn't green either.

Also, it's hilarious how you people completely ignore the second fight where Francis outstruck and outwrestled Stipe, when neither of those things seemed like they were possible in the first fight.

Stipe is grossly underappreciated and doesn't get enough credit for being one of the best rounded fighters ever above 170, and he's strangely never included the lists of "best boxers in MMA."

...but he fought a completely different version of Francis in the first fight than the one who's been working Nicksick and Cooper for the past several years and the one who was in the ring with Fury.

Pretending otherwise is just dishonest.
