That was a poor betting decision on your part then. I specifically only bet on the fight goes the distance because I knew the fight would be closely contested and could go either way (split decision). I think a lot of the anger over this decision also stems from a personal bias and hatred for Barber due to her confidence and persona. I saw a lot of bettors picking Maverick for non-fight reasons. You have to put your personal bias aside when gambling on professional sports for this exact reason.

can’t say I watched that fight that closely, as I was fucking around on my phone at the time but obviously saw the tons of sherdog threads, but that makes it sooo much worse now knowing every single person who watched the fight close up had scored it for maverick lol

It wasn't personally bias this time, just stupid. Betting on the decision would have been the smart bet for sure. Live and learn the hard way.

Eh I think the scoring system actually works better for MMA than boxing. Every big boxing fight it seems people are crying about the scorecards after, whereas in MMA you get bad decisions here and there, but nowhere on the same level. Probably has to do with mma having less rounds, so theoretically it’s easier to score.

Sandhagen vs dillashaw was razor thin close. But maverick clearly got stolen here. No way in hell did barber win that fight , way to go judges to kill a young, promising prospect early in her career.

It feels like they don’t really understand what they’re watching. That’s seems crazy to me as they’ve apparently watched (and judged) hundreds if not thousands of bouts.

Garbage judging all around last weekend. I was in shock when they picked Barber as a winner. Then they had it for Paiva as well? Why the hell won’t they fix it?

Absolutely not just incompetence. Women's MMA is ripe for fight fixing since fights tend to usually go the distance. Huge money to be made from corrupt judging.
