Still can't believe Forrest was the Champ

Does that really need to be explained to you? He didn't fight them on the same fuckin day, homie.
Yeah I know. Just being a dick.
A real champion would have fought them on the same day though.

Lol - I cant believe Glover Texieria is fighting for belt ( lol - and has somewhat of a chance ).
Lol- I cant believe Santos , Smith( now 205ers) and Walker are " main event " fighters .
Lol- I can't believe Jorge masvidal has had 2 shots at UFC gold.
Lol- Derek Brunson maybe getting a title shot .
Lol - Kevin Gastelum is still looked at as a top middle ( omg)

Ronda was a champ for wAY longer than Forrest was....

It's not Forrest fault that he was able to beat Rampage and Rua

I think everyone underestimated Forrest.

He beat Shogun and Rampage back to back, when Shogun was the best LHW.

He had great kicks, great cardio, underrated TDD.

He just found ways to win when the odds were stacked against him.

he beat an injured shogun, not shogun at his best lol
forrest overachieved thanks to circumstances but most contenders who never became champ were better than him, he just got lucky

Have a good chin and stay busier in the fight than anyone he fights.

Like Diaz and Ferguson. Obviously they have skills but their styles play into their very glaring physical advantages similar to Jones and his reach.

Huge 205er with good cardio and insane work ethic is the answer, also underestimated.

I feel like part of the reason we look down on Forrest was because he was always talking down on himself. Most top MMA fighters are braggadocious but Forrest was the opposite of that.

His list of wins is legit.

If you look at the list of fighters who have held a title but never defended, he’s not amongst the worst.

It’s too bad the Silva fight ruined him. That was a terrible matchup from the get go. I hope he got paid well.

I bought that PPV, he leg kicked Rampage but didn’t do much else, and that was when Rampage was one of the scariest people (besides Shogun)
He had the mount for all of round 2 IIRC. That’s a lot more than just leg kicking someone. Also, his leg kicking fucked up Rampage’s lead leg proving that those kicks had some heat on them.

Shogun got his revenge but he got fucking mauled by Forest. Injury this and injury that…he showed up ready to break into the UFC and Forest just out muscled and outclassed him.

If Forest can beat Shogun and Rampage on any given night then I think he had a great shot at becoming champ.

I wish the rematch with Shogun had been in a more neutral location.

You could tell he’s just not into it at all, not liking the travel and he had to leave his pregnant wife at home. He got told in the locker room that night that she was going into labor. I’m not saying he would have beat him again and part of being a high level fighter is overcoming all those circumstances but on that night he clearly didn’t want to be there.

The Shogun/Rampage victories are among the two best back to back wins in LHW history. Give respect when it's due.

“I heard a rumor that you’re fighting Jon Bones Jones can you confirm or deny that?”
“Uh, I hope I’m not fighting Jon Bones Jones.”

Forrest interview lol, on the one hand you don't like the honesty cause you can see it as weak but on the other hand you respect the honesty if its just his way of honoring good fighters you respect his intent. But, its a mix of the good and bad. I do think Forrest is one of the coolest dudes in MMA with a good natured free kind of spirit. Allot of MMA fighters get too serious so they end up not liking their job. There is so much more, fans don't consider what fighters go though which the mental aspect is one of them. Too many fans over look that side we don't see or talk as much about. Forrest deals with problems by joking about it....its clear as night and day for me when looking at his history. People can learn from that, in their personal life too.. Most problems can be cured by joking about it instead of getting mad. Its the best type of comeback too...you can make fun of the situation instead of attacking the person. When your laughing no one can control you emotionally....That comedian who just passed away, Norm McDonald is a perfect example of seeing the humor in everything in life...that guy seem common but he was actually very highly intelligent....I remember when he did the "Who wants to be a Millionaire." ...He was very sharp at answering the questions......his process of elimination intelligently logical.....he would guess that right answers but was not sure.....I think he won it all or stopped because he wanted to donate the money. However, that was when I knew how intelligent he really was cause I never seen anyone else that good on the show. Maybe joking increases IQ or makes you look like you do.

lhw was soooo much better then!!!
