I was referring to Jason DeLucia's background. According him, Steven Seagal issued an open challenge in "Black Belt" magazine. Along with a friend, DeLucia drove from Massachusetts to California to fight Seagal at his dojo.
But Seagal was never there, and after repeated visits, DeLucia gave up. But he found out about "The Gracie Challenge", accepted that, lost, but later learned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
