Social Steven crowder demonetized

You can't claim to know what is/isn't funny if you say the Bob Ross painting Mohammed bit wasn't funny.

That just shows you are a typical heckler who goes to comedy shows and claps at stuff he agrees with and seethes at jokes he doesn't agree with regardless of humour.

I'm one of the biggest Trump supporters on here and even I can admit Michelle Woolf's correspondent's dinner set had some funny parts.

Grow up.

Which part made you laugh? What was the best joke made during that Muhammad segment?

I think you have this completely backwards. I did not find it unfunny because he was making fun of Islam. But I think you did find it funny only because he was making fun of Islam. There was just nothing in the bit that was clever, and it was more “cringe” as you guys put it than funny. I’m not even sure I made it through, it was an annoying attempt at comedy.

You found parts of the correspondence dinner funny because she was making jokes with punchlines. A good joke is almost universally a good joke. Even if you disagree with the joke, or if the joke is offensive, a good joke is still funny.

Maybe I just don’t think Crowder is funny at all. It has nothing to do with politics, he is just a terribly unfunny person to me. He reminds me of that kid we all grew up with who kept trying to make jokes but just wasn’t funny.

One of my favorite comedians is Norm McDonald. Norm McDonald has far more offensive jokes than anything Crowder does, but he is 100 times the comedian, so the jokes are actually funny.

The best part is that idiot keeps trying to argue that he is right and youre wrong. Someone should go back to school, looking straight at you @spamking LMAO!!! I love it when Conservatives are proven wrong and still can't admit they are wrong, what a clown. You should be dubbed SpamCanReadKing from now on dude.

<LikeReally5>

Move along. The adults are talking.

Nope. You are literally making all the same arguments these noodges that go to comedy shows and try to cancel comedians afterwards make.

'I like comedy but that just wasn't funny' is the mating call of those people.

It's all subjective, honestly. No comedian has true universal appeal. Some people think vulgarity in general, panders to the lowest common denominator.

The stuff about "bringing audiences to them" doesn't hold much water, because all big comedians do that. There's not some cheap trick to it. They were all once small time, and grew their audience. Hacks and talent succeed and fail all the same. There's no magic formula to it. People like you, or they don't.

There's a fine line. There are pure stand up comedians, like Bill Burr, and then there are hosts, or actors, or whatever. If you're talking pure stand up, then yeah, Crowder didn't exactly light the world on fire with his act. In his realm though, of comedic political commentary, like a Stewart, Maher, Bee, or Oliver, he's very successful.

Well, that's just it isn't it? You don't like his humor, so he's a hack. I could say the exact same thing about Stephen Colbert or Bill Maher and all the cheap shots they take at Trump. At the end of the day, it's all subjective.

They're essentially the same thing.

Well yeah, comedy is all subjective. Even defining who is considered a comedian requires some level of subjectivity. But my opinion is that Crowder does not seem like a comedian to me. Whatever the trait is that all comedians seem to share, he just does not seem to have that. He seems to have the radio show host traits, like Don Imus.

Read this post a few times to yourself and tell me if it actually makes sense to you.

You are making huge leaps. Thinking that somebody is unfunny does not imply some level of moral condemnation. Some people just aren’t funny. I’m sure there are comedians that you find unfunny, does that mean you want their comedy show canceled?

Dicktuck noted.

You forgot 'he was punching down' off your angry liberal cat lady list of complaints btw.

You seem to be having a conversation with yourself. The comments that you are making are not based on anything I said.

Dude needs to get a job instead of crying that Google kicked his ass to the curb.

Why should he quit a sweet gig he is his own boss, and go and get a job and may have an asshole boss?

Go ahead, Change His Mind.

LOL, cause his boss kicked him to the curb? Do you think the big wigs of google/youtube arent the bosses of youtubers who produce content for monetization?

I dont need to change his mind and neither does anyone else. If he cant follow certain rules of his boss, yes that would be Google and youtube then he can kick the curb.

You think there shouldnt be consequences to free speech? Tell me 1 company that would be okay advertising on a channel that produces merchandise with the tag line like "Whites are cocking sucking bitches". I'll wait.

lol, you were wrong, kept arguing you werent and never admitted you were wrong. Just pointing out the truth something you cant seem to be able to handle.

Holding a different opinion on a topic doesn't make me wrong dude . . . . folks infer things on here all of the freaking time.

For example, you seem to feel the need to jump into a discussion completely unrelated to you in order to prove something that only you can prove.

You really showed me.

His boss isn't Youtube, you dolt. Besides, he's still hosting vids, and promoting his merch on their platform. They didn't "kick him to the curb" by any stretch. In fact, they increased his viewership and revenue by giving him all this free publicity.

Mug Club memberships(where he makes most of his money) skyrocketed after this, and Carlos Maza is currently Crowder's honorary "Employee of the Month". LOL.

According to YouTube's public announcements, Crowder broke no rules.

The same companies that advertise on MSNBC and TYT.

And YouTube is saying on behalf of all the past, current, and future companies that have had advertisements on their platform they wouldn't want their ads on channels that have been demonitized. YouTube has never asked the companies which channels they would and wouldn't want their advertisements on.

So, it would be interesting to see what channels companies would and wouldn't choose to advertise on, if they had that choice.
