Social Steven crowder demonetized

CNN and legacy media can't compete with everyday people who can say whatever they want and don't have to worry about advertisers. So instead of trying to, they are bribing the refs(youtube heads) to kick them out of the game.

They've got hundreds of millions of dollars in these companies. They aren't about to lose out to average joes.

Not to mention these news companies(right or left) serve as the defacto state media for propaganda purposes.

Which goes back to last week's question (regarding CNN cutting staff in London)....how much is the UAE subsidizing CNN to set up shop in Abu Dhabi?

Youtube just seems like a terribly shaky platform to work on generally. Putting one's eggs in that basket just seems so risky. I'm surprised more of the news/opinion channels don't just migrate to Twitch. I know there's less advertising revenue over there, but the bigger streamers seem to do fine through selling merchandise, setting up Patreon accounts and Twitch subs.

I don't pay that much attention to it though; that's just my passing impression.

I don't know of even the lowest of the low resorting to eating used condoms out of dumpsters behind massage parlors...

Where the hell did your imagination go to pull that one out?

His deepest fantasies.

If I were a white power guy I would be loving me some abortions

I've been doing my part to spread the word. It also has a secondary effect of putting liberals in a very uncomfortable position.

When you start going against the usual grain on these ideas, it really makes it easy to see how the government, media and politicians program people into thinking various ways.

Where are my Sherdog white knights?

I got yellows for saying all the same homophobic shit as Crowder

The right has principles and isn't obsessed with censorship.

You are so close to getting it. Normal people dont care what advertisers think.

YouTube does. If you want to talk on YouTube's platform then you are subject to what advertisers want. Because YouTube is.

@7437 - I don't believe youtube really cares, I believe they are being paid/pressured into caring. Youtube won't touch people like pewdiepie, because he gets too many views. Youtube also won't touch a lot of the elsagate stuff because there's too much money involved.

Yes, exactly. It's only about the money. Advertisers dont like those kinds of videos.

......

Crowder wasn’t banned, but YouTube is now cracking down and many independent journalists and content makers.

YouTube says they will promote large media companies more and scale back promoting independent content makers.

Sounds like they sold out. So. Not. Cool.

And yes, I completely understand that the point of being in business is to chase the dollar.

The little guys get trampled by big corporate interests yet once again. Does anyone know if Peterson and Harris have had any luck with their alternative to Patreon?

So I found this on the verge, claiming the demonetization is temporary if Crowder changes some of his merchandise, etc:
The restriction isn’t permanent, though: YouTube said Crowder’s monetization could be restored if he “addresses all of the issues with his channel,” according to a recent tweet. That includes removing links to a store where he sells shirts that include slogans like “Socialism Is For :eek::eek:s.” Maza previously criticized YouTube’s decision to just demonetize Crowder’s channel, arguing that demonetization is insufficient and “basically all political content gets ‘demonetized.’”

Crowder’s shirt doesn’t say what they say it does, it says figs

So... yeah

is this the end of louder with crowder?

Mod note, this is different than Barry dillons thread saying only supremacists are banned

If you dont know the story, some whiny liberal bitch cried to YouTube about crowder. Crowder wasn’t banned, but YouTube is now cracking down on many independent journalists and content makers.

YouTube says they will promote large media companies more and scale back promoting independent content makers.

The media is pissed that guys like Tim pool get WAY more viewship numbers per week than major cnn anchors on cable tv.

Can’t have freedom. Of course the left rejoices.

This particular issue with Crowder doesn't seem that bad since he isn't banned. I presume "demonetized" means he can not feature adds? Well he can always ask for Patreon support . He still gets to push his agenda on a platform by a company the rightwing hates. How would you feel if your company had to give a platform to an activist that hated you / your company. Ofcourse YT gives a lot of people a platform because they know if they are seen as heavy-handed in censorship they lose viewers.

Exactly. Crowder isnt good to associate with. Lots more people dislike him than like him. So he got demonitized. .
Lol literally you couldn't be more wrong and because "people dislike" him isn't any real world answer. You're making up shit and have no clue what the hell you're talking about.

People disliking him means nothing. They aren't boycotting products over him, they aren't losing money because of him, they're making money.

The problem is he is a drop in a bucket as far as advertising goes. In the general sense, they can easily afford to destroy him to appease their 1 sided political scheme of silencing the other side because the other side puts out content that they don't agree with, goes against the agenda, and cannot counter with conjecture.

People don't like him? Sure. But this is more of YouTube pushing the envelope to eventually completely get rid of the other side from their platform. Has nothing to do with you regular whiny leftist goofs who report Crowder because he made some pseudo-intellectual college leftist cucklord on campus look like a fool.

Companies like money. YouTube gets money from advertising. Advertising wants to be associated with people the public likes. Make sense so far?

YouTube doesnt like crowder. Follow the logic as to why.
