Anime isn't my cup of tea but to each their own. I did sit down with my grandson and watch attack on titan.......and actually enjoyed it.

New age anime is decent. What legit gave anime a bad name was series like death note getting spoken about. THeres some utter nerd virgin anime out there, then there’s stuff that is basically a badass storyline that would be too expensive to produce live action, for eg; attack.

Naruto Shippuden was absolute dog shit compared to the iconic original show, it had good moments but it didn't live up to the original Naruto, writing got lazy and convoluted. Everything had to get bigger and bigger, it was like I was watching DBZ by the end.

Most of the best Anime are old, not easy to find shows that aren't a total cringe fest these days imo. Give me invincible and I'm good, I'll probably finish AOT when I get a chance. But I like to watch shows that have a serious tone like Death note, so yea most shows I'll do a hard pass.

That scene alone sums up to me why ALOT of people dislike anime, and why a lot of nerd virgins do. It was trying to be smart and intellectual but was actually like half a series based around a debate fallacy. IT got so boring so quick. Absolute drivel.

It was pretty obvious Kishimoto didn't know how to wrap things up, there were cool moments during the War Arc, but that shit dragged on forever. Also adding in all the aliens was so stupid, especially the shit about Black Zetsu totally manipulating everything that ever happened in the show.

I know Netflix has been adding more and more anime in to their collection but I just assumed people have the same attitude as Colby in regards to this genre of entertainment.

Sometimes it's funny to see masculine people doing unmasculine things, like Marines singing the Mickey Mouse song. Or Tai coming out to Celine Dione songs. Bruh this is so bad. This was the entire series. The same concept going on in the tennis match is just continued throughout the whole series.
Its basically like when someone thinks their so smart, they begin over complicating things.
Death note was too early, alot of the people watching anime back then, were legit incel weebs.
So its got a good reputation amongst the more shameful side of anime fans imo. Darker than black, attack on titan etc. all shit on it.

My favourite show always been Fist of the North Star.

The original anime "nerd" mma fighter was Josh Barnett.
He used the japanese FOTNS intro song during Pride, and the crowd went crazy.
