I must be reading different posts than you guys because I don't recall seeing anyone in this thread advocating- or even justifying- what Ray Rice did. It's not okay. Regardless of what she did it's not okay.

But I think it's absurd that we can't assign some measure of blame to these women, too. They may be victims, but they aren't necessarily innocent victims. That's the nuance that I think is being lost.

With you 100%. It's absolutely unacceptable to hit a woman, but people should still be able to say what Stephen A. said and not get in trouble. He didn't advocate hitting women in the slightest, he just said something that everyone is afraid to say.
