Stephen A. Smith

Like chris rock said, regardless of sex, when youre talking to somebody bigger or stronger than you, there's a line you dont cross. Assaulting somebody is way over the line, be prepared for the consequences.

Thats essentially what was said by whooping and Stephen, and people are losing their minds. I dont get it, the concept is simple

Exactly. This just doesn't go for opposite genders but ANYONE. You have no right to hit or talk shit to anyone, regardless or race, gender, religion or whatever, and expect there to be no ramifications for your actions. I'm not condoning throwing haymakers at people when they cross the line, but the "victim" or provoker shouldn't expect to get a pass. Some women, or these so - called feminists, want equal rights yet still want to keep the victim card in their back pocket. In some cases, people get provoked and make bad decisions, and in other cases, some people get what they don't deserve. There's no one way or the other here. Every situation like this is different.

Whoopi said what a real "feminist" would say.

I must be reading different posts than you guys because I don't recall seeing anyone in this thread advocating- or even justifying- what Ray Rice did. It's not okay. Regardless of what she did it's not okay.

But I think it's absurd that we can't assign some measure of blame to these women, too. They may be victims, but they aren't necessarily innocent victims. That's the nuance that I think is being lost.

look at your brethren...I am surprised you mouth breathers can collectively put a paragraph together...

I am far more erudite and eloquent than you. Spare me the invective.

*Edit* It occurs to me that maybe you're agreeing with me, and calling those who disagree the "mouth breathers". It's unclear, so in either case, alpha, it's a bit awkward that you're ranting about sound syntax with a sentence that isn't immediately clear itself.

As much as I want to deny it...I don't think I can. I found myself reading that super-famous soliloquy again the other day, and for the first time, I found the strength to question its greatness:

To be, or not to be, that is the question.

99% of experts agree this isn't a question at all, Bill. Fuck, stop wasting my time with your meandering babble and doublespeak.

My apologies. I'm the asshole. I acknowledge that I immediately become obnoxiously defensive when I wrongly presume that someone is calling me a "mouth breather".
