Guy figured out a way to change FOV during space flight.

That's awesome

It's crazy how they didn't have native fov sliders for our characters and ships independently.

When I added the finishing touches to my ship, it was the full 80 meter allotment, way too close.

I used the .ini adjustments for my player but it makes things worse for the ship in 3rd person.

There's a mod to fix that, but it requires a console command. Of course, that requires the mod to stop achievements being disabled and that has lots of reported issues.

Hopefully by the time I hop back in, BGS has a proper fov slider. At least this is a solid temp solution.

Space fights fucking SUCK. I dont know if the Razorleaf is underpowered or what. But good night Irene. I'm getting destroyed. Have had to abandon multiple missions so far.

I forget what the default weapons are, but at lower levels, you should easily be able to replace your main weapons with electron beams. Those chew up enemy shields, and hull. You really want their shields down asap. Just focus on two weapons mainly.

I repurposed the Razorleaf almost immediately.

I eventually used four electron beam weapons and 3 missel launchers, but for much of the game I used four electron beams and one missel launcher, just wrecked most ships. I had two em weapons as well, before adding two more, only to allow myself to board enemies (they disable segments rather than destroy). I never put more than one bar of power into the EM weapons.

Had to take a break due to schedule and lack of desire to play this game. The story is interesting but it's not a "I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S NEXT!!!" as of now. Maybe I need to dive into the story a bit more but so far... kinda meh...

Latest things I encountered:
- two game crashes
- one issues talking to an NPC and it got stuck. Couldn't get out and had to force quit.

Things that annoyed me:
- Helper NPC getting in my way. I am aiming and this fucker (doesn't matter who) will step right in my line of sight at times. And after i shoot him/her he'll come back into my line of sight. Several times! MOVE BITCH!
- Random NPCs blocking the way. Sometimes I am walking and they'll be 2-3 NPCs walking or standing next to a doorway and they'll just block it. you can't squeeze through and you have to PUSH them out of the way - relatively slow process. Quite annoying.
- The pathing broke badly in Neon. It gets badly confused and the mission tracker will send you somewhere else. One example I was supposed to go up this building and I am at the 3nd level outside and i start the tracking to confirm and it tells me to go downstairs. I am like "okay".. so i follow it and it takes me downstairs to the ground level then to the next area and then go back up and then once i am at the roof it sends me back down that set of stairs. Apparently i just had to climb the building I was at originally. Other times it wouldn't even track based on my location (like it just gave up). I'd have to move to another area or location and it'll start tracking but not track the right one. Worst pathing system in a video game I've ever experienced. Doesn't help that there is no fuckin' city map with marker system to help me figure out where i am..
- Enemies are getting easier to kill... like way too easy.

I'm not going to spend my time bemoaning this game but I wanted to say two more quick things:

1. A podcast I listen to summed it up perfectly: the game is souless, you spend all your time doing things that aren't fun, it's a fast travel sim and a game about space travel where there's no space travel. Basically, 'press x to Venus.'

2. As I mentioned I went back to fo4. It's immediately charming and there are interesting places everywhere with a compelling narrative, back story and immersion.

Glad some are enjoying starfield, but it's definitely my biggest gaming disappointment in a VERY long time. Not sure I'll go back to it.

Starfield is really being let down by it's engine.

I fucked Sarah for the first time and a load of dumbbells spawned on top of her afterwards.

Also, I was talking to the back of her head a lot of the time.

The talk by the waterfall was beautifully scripted..

"I love you Foamy! For now and forever!"

Then the dialogue ended and she walked off, no kiss or anything.

Oddly enough, playing the game made me want to reinstall Cyberpunk...

"Get the fuck out my fucking way, you fucking idiot!"

Screamed at companions in every Bethesda game ever.

I think it’s hilarious that Todd keeps saying all this stuff was intentional. AI is dumb so you can hit them. 30 FPS is intentioned for visuals. Just upgrade your engine you lazy bums. Everyone go play lies of p instead

lol I forget what I read this morning but I seriously said the exact same thing to myself. Everything people complain about Todd's just like "Yea that was intentional".

It’s averaging 7 which is a massive disappointment. It’s not like other games. This was supposed to be Microsoft’s Zelda and God of War moment that led to critical acclaim and heavy favorite to win goty. Now it’s looking like it doesn’t even deserve a nomination with all the great games this year.

I’m not bothering anyone. You for whatever reason choose to get your panties in a twist because I have a different opinion. Maybe you’d be a less angry person if you played games you actually enjoy
You don't have your own opinion though, that's the point.

There have been several posters in here don't like it. No one who likes it has their "panties in a twist" towards them.

You are kind of bothering some of us though ~ myself included. You've made your point long ago but you come back simply to troll (I feel) in the thread and i don't think that's cool. Just my two cents.

TLOU2 was a very controversial game but I didn't mind anyone who trashed it if they at least gave it a chance and played it. If the story bothered them that much to the point that they think the game is trash then okay - fair. But I hate those who didn't play it and just trashed it. That's what you are doing right now.

There's no nuance with that dumb ass. He could look through the thread, and see that some really enjoy it, some enjoy it, but have some issues, and some absolutely hate it, and nobody is really taking issue with any of those opinions, because it's a huge game that might click for some, but not for others, and all opinions are respected.

All he's doing is exposing himself as a lemming, who thinks Sony is gonna give him prize for being a juvenile fanboy troll on some Karate forum. It's pretty sad to see an adult play these console war games.

I really disliked TLOU2. I had some fun with the leaks before it launched, but stayed out of discussions until I actually played it. I had my two cents which were not positive. No one shat on my opinion.

I love this little tight knit community we have here in the arcade forum. It's generally a positive/constructive place, even though we all have wildly varied backgrounds/opinions.

No one likes a troll @Zazen, you can do better

I just bought the Narwhal class C ship for 455k. Supposd to be the best ship in the game.

That ship is a beast. I thought about buying it a few times, but I kept spending money doing changes to my main one and other monstrosities that never went anywhere.

The best part about buying ships is they'll likely have some coherent layout from landing bay to cockpit. It's really hard to make a ship without creating some maze. You need certain modules from hopetech to ensure pathways and doors are where you want them, but that limits creativity.

Im trying to figure out how to upgrade the Narwhal

I havent even tried out in space combat yet
