I think the ultimate fighter and the relationship DC and stipe developed ended up helping DC. When I saw Stipe's face before the fight started, he wasn't stone faced like he was against Ngonnou, he seemed more relaxed than usual if you go back and watch. DC looked way hungrier before the fight was starting.
