Yeah, I always use box office to determine what is good

That's how I know Kevin Hart is better than Daniel Day-Lewis

Well this are the metrics we go by ? what should I use instead.. if 90% of the things out there tell me it's good maybe it is.. but yea Rotten user side low so no go all of a sudden let's just cherry pick one but ignore others.

You can't be serious.

Mark Hamill has clearly had a talking to by the "powers that be".

Just saw this..

Maybe they pay him by the tweet :P from my perspective he should tweet more and get payed cause it's all force ghost minor roles from here on out.

Soon Hamill's gonna dust himself with blue powder and show up unannounced at car dealership openings for spare change.

From my point I just like TLJ.. best thing since the OT in my book so far.

I know our own opinions count the most for each of us of course but this talk was general and the metrics we got suggest this is a good movie.

May I ask how many times you saw it ? any chance you will be more open to it on a second viewing just for kicks maybe you get a better experience who knows.

I dont think it takes a second try of getting shivved with a prison shank covered in shit to know its an awful experience.

I thought it was a great film, and it really exceeded my expectations xpectations given many negative user reviews.

I loved the ending- tearing up at the end bagawd

There’s always hope- sometimes New, sometimes lost and unredeemed, but there is still hope nonetheless.

So you still like the original trilogy better?

Never have, never will.

I hated TFA, I think the characters and story all suck. Everything I've heard about TLJ confirms I would hate this even more, so I'm all set.

Also watching a movie I think sucks over and over would not make it better for me anyway, lol.

I did like Rogue One though. To me that was by far the best installment since 1983.

The only instalment that felt much like the originals to me, TFA having a lot of nostalgia doesn't change that it was a Trek style Abrams film for me, that is a far shallower thrill ride that throws action/comedy/nostalgia at your so fast in the hope you don't notice its lack of depth.

There probably is some stuff in TLJ you might enjoy as it is more ambitious than TFA but it also uncomfortabely carries across a lot of the style of that film plus its weak characters/situation(besides Kylo). That mix I think actually makes the flaws Abrams introduced that much more obvious, the same way the failings of the prequels were most obvious in Revenge of the Sith relative to some decent material.

Empire Strikes Back is still top dog then A New Hope and Return of The Jedi (this last one is tricky it's a great fun but lesser then the first two).

Oh you didn't see it yet, c'mon it is a Star Wars movie no matter what you will still find some entertainment in it. My advice see it on the big screen most likely you will enjoy it, it is closer to RO then TFA imo.

I found with this TLJ many people seem to like it a lot more after the first viewing, not sure how to explain it.. it is a rare thing to change scores after another look.
(not me I'm in the 8/10 first screening 8.5/10 second, I wasn't that extreme in change but others were 1-2 points increase from friends and people on twitter). I'm also a nit of a nerd and I had theories and expectations so it took me a while to just go with the story and enjoy the ride.

Ouch that bad for you ? if it's that extreme then most likely another view won't be a big enough factor to change your stance.

I would say the opposite, the first viewing had the advantage that I didn't know a lot of the plot elements weren't leading anywhere that interesting to me as well as the benefit of simply being new Starwars.

"I almost had to think of Luke as another character, maybe he's Jake Skywalker. He's not my Luke Skywalker."

Lol, Mark Hamill is the man

Fuck this movie

Didn't you say you haven't even seen it?

Don't be a little bitch. You know you can't critique something you haven't seen. That's troll shit.

Well looking at the sherdog poll, Imdb score, Metacritic, Rotten site critics, Bog Office so far, Cinema-score, independent polls suggest we got a "good movie".

In fact the only public low / bad score we got is that site Rotten in the user side.

If you calculate the average score in the poll. It's around 6 which is hardly "good" .

It's an average movie. The fact that these critics are giving out praises to this movie for simply " trying something different " while it clearly made multiple errors in doing so through out many aspects of the film, makes me lose faith in them lol
