If the rule of two still applies, which I'm assuming it will, then Kylo Ren needs a master. I'm seriously getting the feeling it's going to be Luke.

He's not a Sith he's a Knight of the Ren. His name is Kylo too btw.

I have a funny feeling Luke won't be who we think he is. Tempted by dark side he is

I'd like that if the next films focus on turning him back. As he tried with Darth Vader. If he's in the for the pinch hit to help establish all these other bozos....No thank you!

Damn auto correct. In all fairness nobody we've ever seen was an actual sith. My understanding is the true sith are an actual race of some sort. The ones we've seen just follow their teachings or some shit. Regardless of any of this I still get the feeling that Luke is pulling his strings. I know there is some dude above him, but who or what that guy is is still a complete mystery at this point.

Wow thats too much thinking for Star Wars bro ^

Next, can you explain Pro wrestling storylines??

Every explanation you could ever need:

STAR WARS Ticket Presales Crash Fandango, AMC and Alamo

Star-Wars-The-Force-Awakens-071015-Dragonlord.jpg

The months and months of hype have paid off for Disney and Lucasfilm this afternoon, as theater chains began offering advance ticket sales for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters two months from today on December 18. Perhaps a little too well, however. Legions of Star Wars fans immediately rushed to online ticket sellers to secure their seats but alas, the force is not strong with them. The sudden rush of demand from Jedi-happy fans has caused loading issues and site outages on purchasing platforms including Fandango, the Alamo Drafthouse, and AMC Theaters.

Fandango was most seriously affected as of this writing, with the site timing out before the home page loads when we attempted to access it. Service for ticket sellers has been spotty all over, and though many fans were eventually able to purchase tickets after several attempts, others are reporting they’ve gotten access only for these sites to crash again before finalization.

While inconvenient for moviegoers, the news has to feel like victory to Disney and Lucasfilm, demonstrating the continuing pop cultural and market power of the franchise many abandoned after less-than-universally beloved prequel trilogy ended in 2005. Of course the film was going to be a success, but how much of a success is the key question. Experts have been predicting a record-smashing $615 worldwide opening for the film. Right now those sky-high predictions for box office earnings look positively reasonable.

Here is what gets me. In every star wars movie some master jedi/sith duelist gets whooped on by some guy who just picked up a light saber yet magically has the sword fighting skills of samurai master.

Obi wan smokes Darth Maul even though Maul creamed Qui Gon with little effort

Anakin surpasses the greatest jedi masters in about 5 years easily beating Dooku by the third movie who was widely considered the greatest lightsaber duelist of his time (even better than yoda)

Obi Wan then somehow beats Anakin at the height of his power by gaining "the high ground!" fucking lol.

Luke then comes around in his 20s with presumably no experience with melee weapons, and surpasses Vader in a couple years training in a swamp with a decrepit yoda who can barely get outta bed.

Now some random peasant chick or stormtrooper washout is going to come and probably by the end of the first movie either whoop luke or whatever sith lord they come up with next.

It would be like if the next rookie draft class all ran 4.1 40s making all the current guys obsolete, and than instantly in the very next year that draft class comes out running 4.0s, then 3.9s, until they are breaking the sound barrier.

Except its not like the actual combat techniques or skill of the Jedi is portrayed in the movie the guy who is supposed to win always just wins in the end somehow against guys with 10 times the skill and experience so its even more ridiculous.

Its not just a Star Wars problem, but in a movie that the climax is almost always a light saber battle between two Jedi they've done a pretty cliche job of portraying them so far. (Ya i remember Dooku beating anakin, obiwan, and holding off yoda but that even reinforces my point as anakin creams dooku yet gets creamed by obi wan in the next movie some how)

Edit: I bring this up because the movie is clearly gonna feature that sith with the cross guard light saber as some super skilled light saber master, and hes going to get absoluetly wrecked by one of the heros with no effort.

Dooku is ONE of the greatest duelists of his time. NOT the greatest.

By the time of revenge of the sith Anakin Is better than most council members. So he isn't a push over for anyone.

their is the original sith which are a race, then there are the dark jedi = sith

Maul, Palpatine, Vader were all siths, just not the sith race

There were TIEs, they chased the Falcon into the asteroid field. A Star Destroyer carries 72 of them.

Not sure why none were shown deployed against the transports and escorts, unless they were escorting the ATAT dropships (which makes sense, no TIEs and the Xwings could've destroyed the walkers before they even landed.

I know i'm entering into petty wanker territory

But

How come the TIE's didn't participate in the ground battle after escorting the AT-ATs?

The shield generator thinger?

Anakin is a crybaby bitch.

I will never be able to unsee the prequels, and that my friends, is the real tragedy.

Trailer was awesome. I'm re-watching the movies (one a week) to prepare myself. I just finished Attack of the Clones and the trailer is such a tonal shift from those means.

Real people, real places, CG only when needed. It feels like an actual movie. No silly characters and green screens everywhere. This is exactly what Star Wars needed after George Lucas with no filter. Very excited.

Also once again NO LUKE SKYWLAKER featured

He touches R2-D2 in the trailer. I think he's going to be the one that "awakens" the force. It looks like the story is that people have forgotten about the force and the darkside and Luke will be the one to show them the way. His reveal is going to have people pissing themselves. I'm glad they haven't spoiled it.

Also...anyone see the potential huge spoiler?
Looks like Chewbacca dies.

And that has absolutely nothing. To do with what I said.

Ur feelings on the prequels means shit in regards to what I said.

Very well said. Also what's not shown is between the movies is the progress that Anakin had made in his training. He even is promoted to a member of the jedi council in record time. So at that point he is by no means a slouch.

Also, what the movies never addressed, but is explained very well in the Darth Bane novels is the affect that the force has on saber battles. Anakin is obviously known for basically being the embodiment of the force, while Dooku not so much, Yoda even mentions it during their battle.

the trailer convinced me that so much is going to be recycled from a new hope

and i wont even be mad because it looks soooo freaking good

I won't be happy if that new Death Star blows up in the final battle... c'mon guys please have an original ending.

I will carry the nerd mantle (look at my name ffs) one on one a TIEs only advantage over an xwing is maneuverability (maybe a slight speed edge) in space. In atmosphere (denser air as opposed to vacuum) they lose that. Since they have no shields and are pretty fragile (they were to be used to swarm) the speeders probably could have smoked them.

My nerd guess is that they escorted the walkers down to the edge of the shield generators and then had to haul ass back to help with blockade duty. Since they had to take the long way as opposed to the rebel ships that could slip through the shield opened and shut behind them, they missed the transports, but got back in time for the stragglers aka the Falcon.

Looks like Chewbacca dies.

His hand isn't enough to call him featured.

Like I said they're keeping Luke under extreme lock and key. He wasn't featured at all and no one knows for certain if that's his hand.

But I agree with some of your analysis

That's exactly the vibe I got from it.

tattooine like planet for beginning
protagonist who hates his life
a main character dies (han or chewie eat it saving Rey)
Villain with red lightsaber has a black mask and altered voice modulator
battle on an ice planet
what appears to be (from poster) a death cannon built onto the ice planet or a space station itself
rebel base on a foresty lookin planet

still looks boss though.

I figured the cloaked person with a robot hand touching R2 was Luke as well.
