Star Wars Squadrons

What? That game is awesome. Easy to learn, but crank it up to maximum difficulty and it's probably one of the hardest RTS campaigns ever. I never felt so happy winning that shit as the Rebel faction when you start off at such a stupid deficit.

It fell flat for at the time, I had high hopes going in but it just wasn't for me.

New trailer. Seems like they're trying too hard to make it dramatic. I liked just being a nameless pilot in X-Wing and Tie Fighter. I hope as much effort is going into mission briefings, medals, and overall gameplay as the cinematics.

I pre-ordered. Figure I'll finish MW's last season and jump in. THPS remake has filled the last three weeks for me since maxing out MW Season 5.

I'll probably ask for Black ops for Christmas, to give me time on Squadrons unless it sucks...

I've been waiting/hoping for a VR remake of X Wing Alliance, don't usually pre order games (for obvious reasons, especially EA games), but what I've seen so far looks good so threw some money down on this one.

I'll be watching closely, gonna wait till it comes out. Hoping people leave reviews in here

As a huge TIE Fighter fan.... I'm hyped and going to give it a go. This is the first SW game I've paid full price for since....

....

Yeah

Edit:
Xwing vs Tie Fighter...I'm old...piss off

Yeah, this was my first thought too. I was too poor to have a computer when that game came out, so this is gonna make up for a lot of missed memories.

It's also interesting how its using the same speed/shield/laser system, and no aiming assists which forces you to lead your shots...just like Xwing v Tie Fighter

i am NOT pre ordering an EA game

No microtransactions though!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, think of it this way: the Battle of Endor caused massive losses for both sides, and both sides had their best officers & fighters at that battle (especially the Empire). It stands to reason that the ranks would change afterward. This is like Marshall University after the plane crash. It's the JV team.

None of them could hold a candle to Porkins.

Not even X Wing Alliance?

XWA was cool for the first two levels then my computer died....long story short never got to enjoy it...and give it a proper review, but it held promise

I remember liking you could jump to lightspeed several times to link stages of the mission and couldn't wait to create missions with that...and being able to fire from the turret while the ai piloted. I was big into games with great mission editors at the time so that meant something to me. (Operation: Flashpoint taught me to script)

that doesnt mean a damn thing, i found it retarded you guys are jumping on EA weiner when we know how shitty they are. So far, 40$ for 5v5.......lol!

I never partook in Fallen Order. It looked solid, but that isn't good enough for me. Story didn't look interesting enough to mess with either.

The 5 v 5 doesn't bug me (although 20 v 20 or something would be nice), what I want is a modern X-Wing/Tie Fighter simulator. Rogue Squadron was incredibly bland to me, I like missions, briefings, getting medals, modifying craft, adjusting functions in the ship while flying - I want a space sim based around a strong single player.

Wow, you missed out on fallen order. Its a good game.

I too loved the x wing, tie fighter, x vs tie, and...some other one where you fly a millennium falcon look a like.

Because of my TrueBias, ill wait until i see user reviews.

yeah count me as another old guy with fond memories of x-wing, tie fighter, x vs tie, etc.

i pre-ordered it, it's cheap. If it gives me 6-7 hours of entertainment in single player (i'm not a big MP player) then it's worth it.

Did you play on PS4? It's probably one of the most stable games I've played on PC - technically and mechanically. But I heard the PS4 version was really phoned in and a real mess.

I played on PS4 Pro and it was great. His install might have just been fucked. Once COD Warzone was working like crap for me stuff loading in like 10 mins after I started playing. Couldn't see guns, could see through walls and shit. Tried rebuilding the database and that seemed to work but then it stopped. Finally just deleted the whole game and let it redownload. Never had issues after that.

This game looks pretty good but I'll wait and see.

PRELOAD IS UP ON STEAM GO GO GO GO GO god i'm so lonely

Curious, how did you play?
