STAR WARS present 1st transwoman Stormtrooper

i also have friends from all different areas of the LGBTQIA+ community & they are literally just people trying to exist in the world in a way that doesn’t sacrifice their own self-acceptance, truth, & comfort… just like everyone else. the biggest difference between them & my straight friends is they are way more scared on a regular basis about how any one random individual might react to them just living.
I think this is not true where I live. If these people were scared, they wouldn't advertise constantly. I am around Gays and Trans all the time and they are the most confident "out there" people you ever met. Their personas are so external it's insane. All My trans friends aren't just trying to 'exist" and just be themselves. They want the world to know who they are and that they are proud. Willing to fight at the slightest offense. But I am in NY and things are way more progressive here. This generation is different. Your narrative is more 20-30 years ago.

i should’ve specified that the gays & queers i’m friends w/ are totally in line w/ all of that. my trans friends will present confidently, because they are proud & acting upon their anxieties would be worse for them than anyone else, but they definitely don’t behave in a way that might invite interaction w/ someone who is shitty. things are a liilll more stressful during this election year, that’s for sure. & obviously behavior will vary depending on where & who & when. providence is super LGBTQIA+ friendly, but it’s a small city, so it’s easy to drift in & out of certain types of crowds, yaknow?

She's not the first LGBT in Star Wars though.

The news article linked by OP revealed:

Sister is not the only transgender character Star Wars. Ceret and twin Terec, are 'trans non-binary' Jedi Knights who previously appeared in The High Republic 2 in 2021.

A post on the Star Wars Instagram for International Transgender Day of Visibility in 2021 later confirmed their pronouns and status as trans non-binary.

The rest of the clones when the first one annouces 'she's' trans -

Oh nooooo don’t make that mistake! Lol. A butch lesbian is likely what liberals would call a TERF. She hates trannies and will not accept them in her space. She is a smart woman x
Really? She is like a dude. She got a fade and works out in cargo shorts. She doesn’t have the trt facial hair though. The other one is weird though. She is kind of a stud with braids but she still expects to be treated like a woman.

Bruh just let her be. She’s butch, she’s a little masculine looking sure, but she’s not ruining her life with whatever the fuck trannies do to themselves that causes lifelong damage. Let her bang!!!! (Her fellow lesbians).

Sure is a lot of outrage over a blurb in a book no one's going to read.

lolol I will take note and not refer to her as bro when she talks to me. To be fair though I call everyone bro at the gym. I greet people on a daily basis but I don't even know their names. Maybe I will do that for my New Year's resolution.

That's what gets on my nerves. I couldn't care less if someone's trans or gay or whatever. Do what you want just don't go around telling the whole world because most people like me simply arent interested.
