Star Wars Megathread

Is there a non-force using villian in the entire SW universe (Canon and EU) better than Thrawn?

Hell throw in force users and Vader, Palps and maybe an old Sith Lord or two might be better than Thrawn...

Jar Jar, Holdo, Rose.

all much more interesting and well rounded characters.
Thrawn is a can

only a true disciple of Thrawn wouldn't take the bait.

Always loved that poster

and no, theres no other villian without the force as good. Hell only villian i like more is Vader. Maul had the cool factor but is a real can.

I'm halfway through Star Wars visions.
Pleasantly surprised to see first episode was made by Spanish studio "El guiri" and featured some fucking brilliant animation and two well known Spanish actors in Luis Tosar (Sith bad guy) and the über hottie Úrsula Corberó as the jedi girl.

I go

Vader
Emperor
Thrawn
Malak
And either The Client or Jabba.

It's hard to say The Client cause they never named him but he was dynamite.

How is The Last Jedi regarded among the fanbase these days?

The defenders in 2018 -2019 used to always say that with time the movie would be considered great and compared it to how Empire Strikes Back was "divisive" in 1980.

Well it's been 5 and a half years...and seems the movie has aged like milk.

The empire sympathizerz still lurkz these partz, pretending that they are teh onez who fightz teh good fight, but the real SW fanz know teh truth, TLJ is teh worst there izzzz, teh worst there wazzzz, and teh worst there ever will be.....

The Last Jedi wasn't poorly made people hated the creative decisions and where it took the story. The core issue is Johnson treated TLJ like an indy film opposed to part of a franchise. Johnson was a horrible fit for Star Wars.

Bit long but I thought this was a much better setup for the sequels. Amazing how much better the fan community is at Star Wars than the people actually running it.

This shit really isn't rocket science. It's hard to make new good creative stuff. This shit is so bad on arrival it's really incredible how they get greenlit. If you know you know

One of the STs failures was not even loosely borrowing from any of the respected EU lore.
I seriously cannot think of anything...

Even the PT took some ideas from the EU
(the name Courscant for the capitol planet, the double bladed lightsaber, the Sith being Darkseid users hiding from the jedi, yes Vader was the Dark Lord of the Sith early on, but what Sith were came from the EU)

The good Disney+ series are doing better....
