Star Wars Megathread

Star wars is the gift that keeps disappointing. There are a few exceptions, but overall I don't care to see any more films. Skipped the last few.

The side stories are tiresome to me and you can only repeat a concept so many times. Light, dark, Jedi, sith, blah what does it matter anymore. Just let the fascists win, they ran the galaxy better anyways.

I agree they do need to do something different now. Maybe have a new faction come out that hates both sides and blames both of them for the constant wars in the galaxy and attempts to wipe them all out. Then they force the sith and jedi to unite.

I did think Andor was amazing and it's the only good thing from Star Wars since Rogue One that I've seen.

It's done purposefully to weed out teh teh fan base. The payoff is only for believerz in teh way.

What's the opinion on High Republic? I read the first comic issue and bleh.

I cant wait for them to erase the timeliness or at least change it, steering us away from Rey and the shit tasting stench in our mouths from the ST

That'll really show the who the real fans are instead of these rebelz.

I can't tell you how little of a desire I have to reconnect with Rey again. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wanted this. But some genius (and we all know who that is) thought this was a good idea.

kennedys contract is allegedly dependent on them getting a new star wars flick in cinemas by the end of 2025, so shes taken an easy bet with announcing one with Rey/Daisy attatched, that it probably cant get shoved in development hell like others

Kennedy's current contract ends in 2024. no movie is going to be made in that time... so this is obviously bullshit. What you're really saying is that if she's overseeing a new movie... her contract is set to be re-newed.

After knocking it out of the park with this new series format, there's plenty of reasons to keep her. We've been hearing rumors of Kennedy leaving... bubbling up from hopeful haters of the very successful Sequels since the sequels came out... & yet here she stands, still putting out great content while those same haters remove any credit from her for the things they like & then bastardize her name for the things they don't.

She's not being given a conditional "try one more movie & that's it" scheme. It's just another one of these rumors created out of thin air by the haters. She's literally the head of the whole thing, including the things you enjoy. Most... if not all... of what you've heard about "her job being on the line" or "not having authority over Filoni & Faveau's projects" or anything like this is bullshit started by the rabid haters.

We as fans don't get an inside look at the top executives of LucasFilm or Disney. We get what we're spoon fed or we get rumors... don't fool yourself into thinking we know anything more.

If a top Disney executive higher on the chain than Kennedy releases an official statement, then maybe we have something, but in the absence of that... we have nothing.

You'd think they would need to start filming fairly soon to achieve that, takes about a year for post production on modern blockbusters.

It's good. Starts to get a bit more adult theming. Omega is a little less annoying and helpless, so that moves her more into the palatable category compared to the first season. Sucks we'll likely only get one more season, but the time frame of the show is jammed into a small window of time.

Took a lot of motivation to resume watching Bad Batch S2 and to finish the season. Mostly zero shits given except for kid Wookie Jedi's one episode.

May the Fourth be with all of you Sherbros! Enjoy my Bass Guitar Funk Jam of "The Imperial March" (Darth Vaders Theme) w/ Music Video . . .

That really isn't high praise.

I remember a EGM review for KOTOR, which gave it a 10/10, said 'This is the best thing thats happened in the Star Wars franchise since Empire Strikes Back.' And he was right.

THATs high praise.

Imo that holds up to this day. I loved Andor and Mando season 1, rebels etc, and most of the EU stuff. But KOTR was a masterpiece.

I know nothing about the time period and haven't played KOTR. But it has been the most consistantly hyped Star Wars project in the franchises history IMO. Ever since I was a child I remember reading comments on unrelated videos talking about KOTOR like it's Breaking Bad. Never heard anything that wasn't glowing about it.

It's a shame they haven't really touched anything pre prequels nm thousands of years earlier. Like I remember in 2015 they made this timeline banner with all the time periods and yet they've never touched any of them. They're still using the banner too lol.

Glad they started the day with Rise of Skywalker so we could see the true power of the force with... Rey ;)
