LoL, at the last episode of Mandalorian being titled, "The Rescue."
Seems kinda like a fuck you to KK, like we are trying to rescue all of SW.
And it seems to be working. It almost seems like there is real life good vs evil. KK and her minions are Sith and bring darkness, while F and F have 1/1000 the budget but bring hope and light to fans. I'll root for the resistance.

Keep in mind that this is the same Full Feature film that those GOT guys Weiss & Benioff were working on... & they were rather open about the fact that they were making the new trilogy of films and that it would be separate from the Skywalker saga. This is the project that Patty Jenkins took over.
StarWars.com sayz this about the Next Feature Film: "The story will introduce a new generation of starfighter pilots and move the saga into the future era of the galaxy."
That underlined part is telling me that this will be post Ep. 9. (Grown up Grogu bless) The 2023 Christmas released movie is listed on Wookieepedia as being followed by an untitled film in 2025... so this is all strongly suggesting that this is the first film of the new trilogy which has been said to be "separate from the Skywalker Saga."
I would assume they put it out there as a stand-alone movie... & then if it does well, they get Rian Johnson to make a sweet act 2 like he did in Ep.8.
All that above said... they can certainly change their mind about any of it.
So if they do change direction... & it is in the era of the First Order... that film could be the culmination of all these series. Either that or the Waititi film is the culmination of those upcoming stories.
Contrary to what you said... Thrawn (Mitth'raw'nuruodo) is in no way dead & I'm not sure we can assume Ezra kept him "imprisoned." This is the last we saw him... and there'z been no more canon stories that indicate what happened to him after that.
The Mando series all but confirmed he's alive since Ahsoka is tracking him. Since the witch knew where he was but wouldn't willingly tell.... this indicates that Thrawn is no longer just free floating in space how they left him & Ezra after the Rebelz series. So I don't think he's imprisoned or lost, but actually out there operating in teh Mando era. So Ezra & Thrawn's story'z are both wide open to infinite possibilities. Hell, it could be Thrawn that took Mandalore with Gideon.
We see Ahsoka at the end of rebels at "an unknown timeline after Ep. 6" ...however Jacen Syndulla's visual age gives us a clue. Born 0 BBY... google says a typical average height for a 9 year old is 4'.3" (52") ...so that's reasonable I think, as it's about a foot & a half shorter than typical adults.
...and so Thrawn has had 9 years to do whatever he did.
At the end of that video... Ahsoka showz up at Sabine Wren's place on Lothal & they set out to find Ezra. Dave Filoni teased that scene could very well have happened after Ahsoka's episode in the Mandolorian series. Either way though... it's pretty well spelled out that we're going to find out something about Thrawn in that series.
It was also said that the Mando, Boba, Rangers & Ahsoka series (maybe others like Lando?) will all culminate into a grand finale. They went so far as to describe it as being similar to how the MCU had the individual movies that all came together in the end. So Thrawn would make the perfect bad guy for that finale imo, & teasing him a little bit at a time like they did with Thanos (like @Thrawn33 suggested) makes a lot of sense.
I also think it would be a wasted opportunity not to have him working for Sid & so we can get Ian back into the Lusasfilm studio for some cameo's.
Regarding Zsinj, he's a legends character... & so although Han Solo killed him... that actually never happened... so they could use that character anyway they choose... or they can bring him into the story & have Han kill him just like he did in Legendz... lol.

It wasn't a universal rule. It was created by Bane as a way to keep their numbers down so that they can operate in secret. I'd also say that with how the force balances itself, that with all the Jedi out there... the Jedi's power would be split a thousand ways while all the dark side power would accumulate in only a few which would make them stronger.
The devil worshiperz of the galaxy obviously didn't stick to it because almost all of them had "ACOLYTE's." (hmm... they're making a show called that.) The rool of 2 was only as strong as the high Master enforced it, such as we see Sid just order other Sith acolyte's killed or how he killed Maul's brother & then used Maul to kill his powerful mother. How he had Ani kill his own apprentice Ducko when Vader was about to emerge.
So I take it like the rool of 2 isn't some universal law, but something that Bane put out there in order to keep the rankings in check about who was in charge... while piping all the dark force into only a few. It was enforced by the strongest one for more power. It was more of an idea that you can only have one king cock & in order to keep the others in check, he had to keep them killed off.
The idea all these devil worshipers had was that they would become king cock. So it's not really like you said that they submitted to the idea of two. I can't think of anyone who submitted to it actually. They all wanted to kill whomever was ahead of them... they just couldn't. & Sid himself allowed them to have their acolytes because maybe one of them will become stronger & become his new #2. This was also maybe a way to keep tabs on the dark force users. Better to have them right in front of you & following your orders than to have them out there somewhere else doing god knowz what.

I just read as I was curious, that Lars Mikkelsen is the voice of Thrawn in Rebels. His bro is Mads Mikkelsen who of course played Galen Erso in Rogue One

I'm 35. One of my earliest memories of Star Wars is chipping and damaging the cutlery trying to re enact lightsaber fights at dinner. I was born after the OT but i still enjoyed them on VHS. I had a crap load of the toys as well. No idea where they went, though. Possibly melted as i lost the character's lightsabers so i equipped them with a burning match instead.
I did manage to see Star Wars in the cinema when they "remastered" them i guess so i saw the original trilogy on the big screen. This was not long before the prequels came out which i also watched at the cinema. I was very excited for the sequels but after The Last Jedi i didn't bother seeing Rise Of Skywalker on the big screen.
F & F have made Star Wars P4P again though, so the force is strong once again. I'd also mention the game Fallen Order as well which has made a smaller yet still welcome contribution to modern Star Wars content.

When I was younger a dream I had was to write a military themed special operations series that takes place after the New Republic/Empire Peace treaty but before the Vong invasion.
It would've been a mix of elite soldiers from both sides, throw in a Noghri and a Jedi Academy washout commanded by an old New Rep Commando (LT Page) and a former Imperial Guard against the remains of COMPNOR and the ISB lead by a High Inquisitor who have resorted to terror attacks to destroy the New Rep and the "Imperial Traitors". I'd give the Inquisitor a Sovereign Class Star Destroyer to make them a threat.
Would've been cool to see how the former enemies interact and of course some Star Wars Spec Ops action.
With the Disney takeover, the dream is dead, but I would love to see some kind of joint ops material following a New Rep/Empire Peace treaty.

Was there no Gallery S2E2 released on Disney+ last night? Tried a few times after 10pm and only E1 found.
Watched Clone Wars S2E17 and the bounty hunter ship did look a tiny bit like Razor Crest but smaller. Is Embo the only bounty hunter who uses his round hat like Capt America's shield? This is the first time I saw him and heard his name... maybe due to subtitles on.

Why did they choose to out the Mandalorian in that aspect ratio? It is a television show, so why put it in a format meant for cinemas? It wastes real estate on my screen. Stupid.

That was one the few gripes of mine, I'd watch as soon as I got home from work (or if I was off, as soon as I woke up) and my front room (with the good TV and surround sound) is very bright until late afternoon.
