Star Wars Megathread

Those fuckers wouldn't even get close...
Vader will cut a few down but those behind him under him will get close enough. When he chops with the saber. the acid for blood will disable his saber, not to mention acid for blood gets on his robotic hand/arm is over

That's what the Force is for with the other hand....push, crush, smash....

Lmao the force ? I have never seen any Jedi or Sith uses the force to push.crush, smash hundreds of objects simultaneously . Like I said earlier those behind him under him will get to him, He has confront the immediate threat which will be those in front of him.

Maybe indulge in more Star Wars then....

Order 66 why didn’t the Jedi use the force to push crush all clone troopers who betrayed them? Or the destroyer robots (rolling balls )on the battle of droids arena?

66 they got caught unaware

The arena....none of them were Vader strong.

After watching the latest Wandavision, KK should call Kevin Fiege for some tips on how to run a franchise.

I do suspect that part of the issue is that KK might well have been too passive, I get the sense that Fiege like Pixar has to fight his corner with Disney. What happened with the sequels to me just seems too familar with the way the DC EU unfolded when non creative Hollywood execs were calling the shots.

Feloni does seem very much like Lucas's man to me, I'm not convinced that by itself would be a massive sucess although I admit i'v only watched the odd scene of Clone War/Rebels does give a bit of the impression of being very caught up in the lore although maybe the dialog/characters being a little dry is to be expected of a kids show without a mega budget.

Feloni + Favreau to me does seem like an ideal formula, the former making sure theres structure and consistancy to what happens, the latter able to deliver the style we assocate with Starwars, not just the action/look but the interesting characters with some charm and wit to them plus a strong sense of location/scale, its easy to believe this is a truely massive setting again rather than the sequels toybox feeling.

Actually waiting until you've built up characters effectively before you look to mine them for drama as well is I think a big factor, something the MCU has tended to do very well as the OT did.

Really though I think thats the nature of tokenism much of the time, there does seem to be a tendency that when tokenistic appointments are made they are often to more precarious roles that are less desireable.

You could argue just look at the Kelly Tran position, Starwars pushes Rose as a character representing race and people without "movie star looks" but the role is pretty much garneteed to draw ire and ultimately when its viewed as making economic sense then she gets the chop.

The same to a lesser degree with Finn for me, even in TFA I get the sense there isnt really the will behind a black co lead reducing him to a comic sidekick and honestly if SW were serious about breaking boundries then an interracial romance would I think have been more of one that just a white female lead or black co lead.

Because those movies suck and were written for morons
