Anybody who donated more than $35 is also getting the soundtrack. They also just unveiled an awesome garak shirt that will be available this week
I'm trying to decide if I wanna up my donation to get one of the shirts. I like the all the shirts but leaning towards the Che Kira one. Only problem is that I'm 6'6'' and usually need tall size shirts.Anybody who donated more than $35 is also getting the soundtrack. Yeah I didn't think they would touch the Vulcans. I am hoping the Klingons we w, are some sort of ancient Klingons. I think a lot of the make ups will be updates, like how the did the Andorians in Enterprise.http://ncc-1031.com/sneak-peek-at-vulcans-in-star-trek-discovery/
Claim to have an insider in production, say Vulcans not redisgned / reimagined.
It is a unexplored time period in the series. But most agree with you and wanted a post Nemesis series. Never know, it could be a time ship...Was very disappointed to learn this series takes place before the original Trek. That's pretty lame.
Why didn't they create one taking place further into the future?
Yeah I try to avoid flying unless I can go business or first class. I also have size 16 feet which are a pain to even fit under the seats. I work half the year in Alaska in the middle of nowhere, so trying to fit into the bush and float planes can be interesting.Good lord
I hope you don't travel a lot for business
If you do, I hope you fly business class
I've been trying to find this funny interview I saw about 20 years ago with the Garak actor where he talks about how great the makeup on the show is that people don't recognize him. He'll be walking through conventions and people will stop him "wait a second, I know you! You're the bad guy from Dirty Harry!" or "Liberace!"
It's a funny little bit.
???? That's part 1. Both parts are good stuff, Garak's one of my favorite characters from the franchise.
Has anyone done the Star Trek Las Vegas convention? I'm thinking about picking up a package or two from the DS9 Indiegogo to help out and that.
That was fantastic. I'm so glad he didn't back out of the part
I agree, his performance basically propelled Garak to the main cast towards the end of the series. Fun Fact, he was auditioned to play Odo but lost out in the end to Rene. The producers begged him to audition to play Garek, but he refused initially. They kept calling and his wife made him go read for it, and he was given the role, and paid as a series regular.Yessir, Robinson's one of the best actors I think Star Trek's ever had. There's simply no bad scene he's in. Doesn't happen.
I don't think I could imagine him as odo. I think the casting on that show was damn near perfect and that's why it is my favorite show of the seriesI agree, his performance basically propelled Garak to the main cast towards the end of the series. I was wondering why we don't see him much in TV anymore, but didn't realise he's almost 76 now.

Final Stretch Goal: Achieved!
Just a quick note to say… WE’VE DONE IT! We’ve surpassed what, just a few weeks ago, we thought would just be a crazy dream. And it’s all thanks to you. Niners rule!
As you probably know, this final stretch gives us the financial ability to follow up with our intent to scan and remaster selected shots from the series for presentation for the first time in HD. While we want to reiterate that nothing’s guaranteed until we can get into details further with various departments, we’ve been empowered by our positive talks with CBS Television Studios, along with guidance from familiar faces Mike & Denise Okuda and VFX master Doug Drexler, among others.
With the campaign just days away from an incredible finish, we’ve decided not to announce any further stretch goals… but that’s not to say that additional funding isn’t vital to the continued success of the project. Any additional funds will continue to be put towards additional interviews, custom graphics, and most importantly, the costly process of licensing (and re-scanning for HD!) archival clips for use in the film. It’s as simple as that: the more we can raise, the more we can include.
More updates to come. But for now, celebrate! We’ve all earned it.
Qapla'!
