Staph Infections & BJJ

I've had Foot, hand, and mouth disease for the last week. It's not fun. Pretty sure I got it from my MMA class the week before.
Do you guys ask if your dojo has proper cleaning habits etc? I've never actually seen anyone cleaning the mats..
