I had to talk to a shrink for a debriefing after finding a dead co-worker (not a friend, just an acquaintance at best) who had gone on a hike and never returned.

The psychologist thought it completely normal (and healthy) that I didn't really feel that much upon finding the body. I'd seen death many times as an EMT / Fire Fighter, and I told her "He was just another body."
I thought something might be wrong with me because I didn't FEEL that much. According to her, I was dealing with it in a very healthy and stable way: it was just the circle of life.

NOW. Would I follow a fellow human being into fire to save a family, even knowing that I may not come out? Hell yeah. Without hesitation.

I have no doubt that you would also Finny.

This is similar to the arabian goggles,but you discretely squat over someones head while they are sleeping and put both of your nuts in each eye socket simultaneuosly gently placing your ass hole on their nose. You patiently wait in the pirched position until they wake up. It will take them a few seconds before they realize what's going on and when they finally do... you flinch your butt cheeks while they are still spread and your ass hole winks at them giving it the proper name The Brown Eyed Wink.

No. I mean empathy. I don't feel what others do at the same time. Sympathy is okay. I can put myself in their situation and go "Wow, that sucks man." with the idea that it happened to me, but I can't make the connection that they and I have the same emotions.
Hence, no empathy.

Honestly, I don't listen to them much. Not that I don't like them, it's just that I basically found out about them from friends who had broader musical tastes than my own, when I was into other stuff myself.
