Spielbergs most forgettable movie

That movie has some iconic moments though, I watched it in school in like 8th grade and really liked it from what i remember

Bro you were in 8th grade,

Anything is awesome at that age...

I already had fairly discerning taste by that age, much more so than my peers. I saw Pulp Fiction in theaters when I was 11. Terminator 2 when I was 8. Jurassic Park when I was 10. Event Horizon when I was 13.

Your right i forgot all about The Terminal

Catch Me If You Can has a pretty good rep though
you forgot about these two classic movies but you jizz all over spr?

{<jordan}{<jordan}{<jordan}

you got pretty bad taste in films.

Fine,

I guess I'll pull my dick out too ...

the casting interviews with the kids

Can you guys believe that Minority Report didn't even got nominated for VFX in 2002?

Only 3 movies did... Attack of the Clones, Spiderman 1, and LOTR: Two Towers (which won).

IMO Minority Report had the best vfx of that year and was a way better movie than Clones and Spiderman as well, so weird it didn't even get nominated.

1941 lost me when they tried to paint the Japanese as the noble enemies over the Germans, considering how messed up the Japanese army was in WW2.

I was working in a movie theater when you saw most of those movies.

It lost me with the bad jokes and comedic timing before any of that had a chance to register.

Munich is in my top ten list. It perfectly captures the horror of the attacks from the israeli perspective. Der Baader Meinhof Komplex captures some of it from the Red Army Faction and by extension Palestinian side.

Bridge of Spies was fun, but I wanted to be a spy when I was a little kid so the intrigue is, intriguing.

But other than that, Ready Player One or Indiana Jones 4 or Tin Tin.

Honestly I felt that was the best standard action blockbuster he'd done in ages, maybe since the early 90's, maybe not a classic and yes I can see how the concept could have had more depth but a fun action adventure without any serious flaws.

Honestly I'v always felt "serious Spielberg" was held back from producing real classics by being a bit too safe, the films(besides perhaps Munich) fall into clichés a bit too easy. You end up with lots of films with great setups but patchy payoffs like Private Ryan, War of the Worlds, A.I., Minority Report, etc.
