Tumbleweed can take a fall and can absorb more punishment.

Oh and Spidey may have better powers but if this is to the death, Logan all damn day.

Agreed. I couldn't even finish the Civil War tie-in where Nitro burns Wolverine down to his Adamntium skeleton...only for him to regrow all his organs, skin, muscles etc within minutes:rolleyes:

Compare and contrast with the classic Claremont Wolverine where it takes Logan at least a couple of months to recover from wounds that include a Katana driven all the way through his torso.
Did they show his limbs when they were about the size of a KFC spork?

Wolverine is like Batman. The characters became so popular that in comics they write them as more competitive in fights they should be easily destroyed in.

I still get annoyed thinking about that scene. Wolverine is one of my favourite superheroes, but they jumped so far over the shark they landed about a mile inland. I didn't even bother finishing the comic.

But...but...muh Prep Time!

Spidey doesn't kill, and therefore has no killer instinct.

Wolverine - Do I really need to detail his killer instinct? Especially when he goes into a feral rage?

When Wolverine was mind-raped by The Hand in 'Enemy of the State,' and turned into their assassin, the entire world was on red alert, INCLUDING Spider-man.

Trying to decide who would win in a fight between comic book characters is like trying to predict the winner of a fight based off MMA Math. The problem is the writers don't have the discipline to keep the characters relatively stable power wise. Then some new writer comes in and makes an ultimate version of the character.

wolverines claws cut through that whack ass web and squish that spider

Friendly neighborhood Spidey > 24/7 PMS guy with bad hairdo.

You should've done what I did, and stopped reading Marvel in the 90's, before they shit the bed.

Original wolverine would lose.

But ever since they increased the power of his healing factor and made him survive nuclear explosions and regenerate completely in minutes, then he's pretty much invincible.

It's dumb. They took him from a Scrappy underdog to being one of the most powerful mutants.

I miss the Scrappy underdog

He's all but immortal. I usually hate those kind of unbeatable characters but for some reason I like Wolverine. Because I think of how cool it would be to have that.

I’ve often wondered why they cast such little guys for spider man. As I rember in my comics in the 80’s he was a lot bigger.

I guess trying to cash in on the younger generation these days since there are so many larger hero’s already

It's a bit paradoxical because they also have to have some unimposing nerd...
