I see his point but i don't agree with it (hence i agree with you). I think what Hitman is saying is that the game is good enough without even a main story. you can cruise around as Spiderman and just fight do side quests. Get lost in it. Maybe that's what he means?

Supposedly there's been spoilers out for a couple of weeks unfortunately, sucks that people do this with thumbnails. Friday can't come quick enough

The game would obviously be shit if the gameplay wasn't good, but I can value that and a good story.

I don't think his post had anything to do with the quality of the story. He's just saying that the story is a major focus of these games. I did like the story though and agree that spoiling it sucks for people.

I agree it sucks, I was only half kidding in my original post. I don't care about the story but I would never spoil it for anyone
 
Reviews looking good so far, please look out though some of them have slight spoilers supposedly

Gamespot and IGN both have it an 8 but it’s sitting at 91 with with 91 reviews. Really odd especially IGN’s because it reads like a 9. Feels like they threw out an 8 to appease the Xbox community that had been crying that they’re too tough on them. Either way an 8 seems to be an outlier as most are 9s with the occasional 10 and 8. Should be a much better game that IGN score shows considering they reward 9s to absolute garbage titles like CoD
 
i’m kinda in the camp that doesn’t really care about spoilers because i’m mostly just stoked to be spider-man. with that said, i’ve avoided all spoilers & will continue to avoid them lol

It was but I have enjoyed the story in both. I'd rather not have it spoiled. Especially because this one seems like it could have an even better story than the last two.

I agree, I watched the IGN review and it seemed closer to a 9 than an 8. I think part of the problem is their review scale. To them 8 is great whereas an 8 for me is only good.

I really just use meta scores to get a sense of the game. If there’s a consistent problem mentioned across reviews, things like that.
