Spann-Smith 2 Decision

Pretty terrible fight. Smith seems so gunshy these days. Couple more calf kicks could have sealed the deal and no idea what Spann was doing
I too thought it was awful. I was so tuned out from how crappy it was, i couldn't even formulate an opinion on who won, it was just a whatever fight

Yeah, I missed part of round three going to my kitchen for a minute but the momentum felt in Spann’s favor.

He looked fine up until he had his eye mucked up. He was throwing and landing fine round 1. He just shells up bad if he’s hurt.

Smith looked like the much better fighter round 1. After Spann destroyed his eye though I thought he was just trying to survive. Ryan couldve won that fight

The fight was almost over in Round 2 when A.S. wouldn't even stand up because his eye was so badly hurt. What a huge and disappointing loss for Spann. Hope he bounces back.

Anthony has really good technique, I don't know why he's not pulling the freakin' trigger. I am so frustrated on his behalf. I know it's easy for me to sit and snipe but jesus

Judges went with the right guy for the 3rd. Spann should have known it was 1-1 yet showed no urgency to win the 3rd round that would decide the fight. Smith was fighting harder than Spann so he got the nod.

I don't really rate either or care so whatever. Nice win for Smith I guess.

Ryan “the trash can” Spann tossed another easy W in the garbage. Smith still has the skills, and the grit, but he said it himself in the post fight interview; he has so many other roles outside the cage. When he gets rocked and punished now, he knows what he stands to lose with enough accumulated damage. Cant wrestle with his kids if his knees are getting bone lap dances in the no cartilage room. Cant run the desk if he’s punch drunk and mealy mouthed… and you definitely have to keep up with Bisping on the Podcast. Spann is the equivalent to a one shot marvel villain. He looks formidable and his physical abilities are impressive-he might fuck up a main character for a second-but then he does something or a chain or incredibly stupid things and loses. As a fan I can’t help but laugh.

Smith won 1 and 3.
Obviously it was one a piece going in to the third but I felt like even though nobody dominated in the third, smith was landing more
