Law Sovereign citizen gets shot by Florida cops. Justified?

We have them in Canada too. Sovereign citizens are this delightful group of individuals who think they can just opt out of laws by tossing around some pseudo-legal gibberish. They’ll yell "I do not consent!" at traffic stops like it’s a magic phrase that makes the law vanish, for example. At first, it’s kind of funny, but they get loud and obnoxious real fucking fast.

I fucked with a sovereign one time. It was my third time dealing with this one(dealt with a few in my days) and he commanded me to leave him alone. He shouted it in a bank. I slowly backed away and he said what are you doing? I said your ordered me to leave, so I am-I don’t want to leave but I can’t resist.” He had this confused look on his face and then I said “nah, just fucking with you-get the fuck out of the bank.” He yelled at the bank manager and left.

Every single use of force was used on this guy.
Not really, they didn't make much effort to hold him down and I don't think they whacked him with their batons once. I have watched the video but I'm not going to rewatch it now so correct me if I'm wrong. Calling the police (to your location) is a dangerous pastime in the USA, I wouldn't do it myself unless the situation was very dire. But this person obviously wasn't thinking straight.
Fuck right off with that shit. 393 million guns in this country and you want cops unarmed. Go to Australia or uk for that shit
Australian police are armed.

The fuck is a sovereign citizen?

Jesus christ.. everything seems more complicated in the US
If you ever have an hour or 2 to waste and want to have a good laugh, go on Youtube and watch sovereign citizen videos. They are fucking insane and so funny.

They get arrested for a traffic violation. "I'm not driving. I'm traveling. You can't do anything." Spoiler alert: it doesn't work that way.

Canada has a QAnon/sovereign citizen Queen. Followers stopped paying municipal taxes, federal taxes, electricity bills, etc. They lose their houses; they get in trouble with the government; they get arrested. It's a beautiful shit show.

Grab a beer and/or a blunt, and go down this amazing rabbit hole.

LMAO.. I will try to watch that later.

BTW.. isn't ironic that they are don't believe in laws but they have a queen?

He was struck with the baton in the back and the officers tried to hold him down briefly but he was covered in pepper spray.

Do American cops not learn any de-escalation techniques as part of their training?

the dude's been able to overpower a bunch of cops trying to physically restrain him and has been shot with bean bags, maced, tasered multiple times and continues to be defiant, and every other non-lethal tactic was used to try to apprehend the unruly suspect who clearly had no intentions of complying with police orders. and i'm sure nothing good would have ever resulted from this if he were to have gotten his hands on the officers gun that he was reaching for.

just what other de-escalation techniques are you looking for after it had already reached that point?

i'm not sure if it is in police protocol to first yell "sir, i'm sorry that our non lethal methods to apprehend you failed, and you're not following any of the orders we gave you, but would you please stop charging at my fellow officer and would you kindly stop grabbing at his firearm?" before firing a shot at the person.

and what's next after that? "sir would you please put his gun down? sir would you please stop pointing the officers gun at him? sir would you please take your finger off of the trigger? sir would you please not shoot this man?" what is this, canada?

they did what they had to do in that situation. you don't resist officers and go lunging at them for their guns. you can learn more about this under the "suicide-by-cop" section of the fuck around and find out handbook. the dude could have turned around and tried to run away from the officers and they wouldn't have shot him. or he simply could have just complied and surrendered. running towards the cop who had the gun out in front of him was probably the dumbest thing he could do.
