If he's having a episode, he may not even realize where he is, dude could actually be in Ireland but still still thinks he's in bangkok.

Not at all. Sounds like meth paranoia. Soi 4 is just the name of the street with a lot of bars and “other” establishments. Nana Plaza is a multi story square with an open courtyard. All the businesses in there are bars and places to hook up with prostitutes.

Why would someone who has been living in Thailand for the last 5 years randomly move to Ireland within a 1 month space since his last posts on IG where he's in Thailand (during covid times no less - would they even let him in that quickly) and start using drugs in the new place...

If true maybe someone at the desk was telling porkies...
