This is why there's a commission. Can't trust the Baldfather to do what's right. Hopefully he gets a fine and suspension
Yeah lets give him life for that and put daley on the chair.
He should get one of those trophies, like PRIDE gave to tourney winners, a FOTY award, and also be put into the HALL OF FAME for that fightThis is why there's a commission. Can't trust the Baldfather to do what's right. Hopefully he gets a fine and suspension
hes only consistent in continuing the sport's massive growth and success.Got to agree…not like pink goof is consistent.
The all time kings picture belongs no where near Jean Silva..He should get one of those trophies, like PRIDE gave to tourney winners, a FOTY award, and also be put into the HALL OF FAME for that fight

It belongs there because I have put it there. The all time kings picture belongs no where near Jean Silva..
Shame on you
So far nothing has been said so its a given.. he got away with it..This is why there's a commission. Can't trust the Baldfather to do what's right. Hopefully he gets a fine and suspension
I never understood the daley ban tbh. Sure its a cheap shot but he hit him softly once and it was over. Same for jean. I mean, fine them but other than that, at least in those 2 occurences, its way too much for me. Frustration can run deep when you fight, that explains a lot. Plus when i see what was done by khabib, bisping, i smell a double standard that i dont like.No life or the chair, brother, I said up to 20 years in the slammer.
Dana does love himself some double standards. No way the UFC is letting Jean Silva go after a fight like that.
Dana and crew will rationalize it as 'heat of the moment' to contrast it from the Daley incident years ago. Hopefully a media member has the balls to press it in the post-fight presser just so we can hear Dana's b.s. though lol
They'd be right. He just TKO'd the other guy, who was probably disoriented and foggy, and then he's standing directly over him talking trash to his corner. This is why they usually keep the fighters away from each other immediately after a stoppage. The actual contact was minimal, and it was definitely provoked, and the fighter reacting to the provocation was not in clear control of his faculties. No way the UFC is letting Jean Silva go after a fight like that.

Mostly a nothing-burger. What there is that's bad is the result of poor control of the Octagon in the immediate aftermath of a stoppage.

It's true that the ref should have kept Lopes away from Silva after he waves it off. They'd be right. Punching someone in the back of the head after a fight is unacceptable. Silva deserves the Paul Dailey treatment.
I'd have to be a moron to say that's not true.I don't disagree...but there is also a healthy dose of self-interest when the UFC approaches these situations.
