Crime Someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania

Trump mega donor company Blackrock "Larry Fink CEO" and world's largest investment bank had Trump shooter in an ad for the bank. He was in high school so put the tinfoil hats on now? What are the chances that some kid from Pennsylvania would be in a bank ad from New York.

" beneficial relationship between Larry Fink and Donald Trump.Fink and Trump.
A match made in heaven? No, to be more precise, made on Wall Street, with the uber-globalist BlackRock chief of ESG fame once serving as Trump’s money manager, and the GOP populist former president still seeking out Fink for insights into the economy, The Post has learned."

WTF are you talking about, stop getting your politics from Jimmy Kimmel. They donate to everyone but aren't fans of the GOP because of the ESG / DEI efforts.

The company's PAC gave $10,000, the maximum, to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer of New York and $2,500 to his Republican counterpart Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

While it's contributed less money than the PACs of some of Wall Street's biggest banks, the record giving by BlackRock's PAC comes ahead of an expected increase in scrutiny in Washington. Republican lawmakers could ramp up oversight of ESG investing if they take control of one or both houses of Congress in the electi

Pro-ESG Chuck Schumer was top recipient of BlackRock donations in 2022

Schumer received more than $100,000 from BlackRock in the 2022 election cycle and has defended ESG investing in Congress

BlackRock is an unapologetic advocate for ESG, which has come under fire from Republican politicians who have accused corporations of going "woke" by basing investment decisions on climate impact, diversity, or other factors they associate with a liberal agenda.

Donald Trump has aligned himself with yet another active player in the crypto industry. Larry Fink, the founder of BlackRock. You know, the company that holds 310,470 Bitcoins worth $17.48 billion."

Must be true "reports say" never heard that in a Donald Trump story.
someone wrote a book and mentioned all this lol . that's the source

What shit tier journalism ...

there was rumors that Trump was considering JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, but reports say it’s really Larry who has been Trump’s go-to guy for economic advice. This partnership goes back to when BlackRock managed Trump’s investment portfolio.

"My sources at JPMorgan tell me Dimon wouldn’t take the job if asked; that means Trump will probably keep asking because he hates being told no"

It's amazing how quickly this event is disappearing down the memory hole. Probably because it happened to an unserious person who tried to capitalize on it the instant it occurred. Only Trump could turn an assassination attempt on a former president into a chintzy marketing opportunity.

News cycle moves quick, whatever boost he got from it has all but faded.

Arguing that the VP's role to succeed the president makes them the logical choice to succeed the incumbent nominee four months out from the election is "too far gone"? You're really jumping the shark lately.
I think its clearly on very shakey ground indeed, Harris has never won the nomination in a public vote and I think we all know elections are mostly about the main candidate. If Harris were to win the election and then ran again in 2028 it would be 12 years since the public got a choice of democrat candidate.

I feel like the suppression of progressive politics by the democrats is the most significant threat to stability in the US, its what has given us Trump in the first place and will almost certainly give us more of the same in the future.

Trump shooter searched online for JFK assassination, FBI director says

Wray told the U.S. House Judiciary Committee that suspect Thomas Crooks visited the Trump rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania, twice before he clambered onto the roof of a nearby building on July 13 and fired off at least eight rounds, wounding Trump in the ear, killing one rally-goer and injuring two others.

"Analysis of a laptop that the investigation ties to the shooter reveals that on July 6, he did a Google search for -quote - 'how far away was Oswald from Kennedy,'" Wray said.

"That is the same day that it appears that he registered for the Butler rally," he added, saying Crooks became "very focused on President Trump and his rally" at that point after showing interest in public figures more generally.

About two hours before the shooting, Crooks flew a drone over the area about 200 yards (180 meters) from the stage where Trump spoke to the crowd, and live-streamed footage for about 11 minutes.

Law enforcement officers did not spot Crooks on the roof with his AR-15-style rifle until "seconds" before he opened fire, said Wray, noting that the timeline could change as the investigators' understanding of facts evolves.

Only Trump eh?

Teddy Roosevelt was shot and continued his speech saying something like more would be needed to take down a bull moose.

Near death shows character either way.

The military industrial complex doesn't want Trump in. That's definite. Make of that what you will.

Can anyone who knows about rifles tell if his gun had a scope on it? Some people said he never used a scope, but I couldn't find that reported anywhere in the media.

Looks like it does have one to me.

The most significant threat to stability is Trump himself, a former president who tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power and overturn a free and fair election whose entire party, from pundits to voters to congressional representatives to judges, refused to hold him accountable in anyway.

Any serious progressive can see that Biden has been very progressive in practice which is why the standard bearers of progressive policy in Congress, Sanders and AOC, were fiercely loyal to him even more so than Democrats closer to the center.

Newsweek really jumped the shark

I remember when 5 years ago when only Vox and Vice were this bold.

I think it does but I'm no expert.

It's hard to tell in that picture but it has some type of sighting device. It could be a red dot on a high rise mount but most likely a scope.

Maybe 4x16 which is popular.

Too hard to tell. Magnified scopes on AR-15s aren't as common as red dots, and some red dots can look like they are magnified scopes but aren't. For example, this red dot is not magnified but to the average person that doesn't know much about guns would probably see this and think its your typical magnified scope:

I thought initial reports said he shot with iron sights.
