Hey guys!
UFC 225 was so awesome. My friend's cousin from out of town was over and we watched the fight. She's a "filthy casual" (heh heh) and I'm trying to get her into UFC so when she moves here we can watch fights together.
So an interesting thing. Colby won the fight like I knew he would and I enjoyed it but I wonder how much appeal he is going to have. My friend's cousin said that he looks too pretty to be a fighter and that he looks like he is "stalling" and avoiding having to fight. She said it was a boring fight at the end of it and that she probably doesn't want to watch him fight again.
So this brings up an interesting question. If a young girl doesn't want to watch a pretty boy fight and thinks he is boring, how is Colby going to get Conor's level of PPV buys, etc. It seems most of his "fans" are actually haters.
Also, the main even was so awesome. Everytime Yoel would do his spinning back fist, everyone gasped in excitement. Everyone was waiting for the KO punch from Yoel and it almost came! TWICE! it was crazy how Robert survived and ended up wining. My friend's cousin said that she thinks that Yoel won easily and it was a no contest because he was winning a lot in the end.
But I beg to differ. Yoel conserved his energy in the first rounds while Robert was fighting. So if you reward people who lag and stall in the earlier rounds, then every championship or 5 round fight will be 4 rounds of stalling and 1 final round of crazy fighting. Robert's earlier aggression and attacks need to be rewarded and I think the proper decision was made at the end. Robert deserved it. He made weight and fought with a broken thumb against an obviously much bigger fighter.
Also when I was dropping my friend's cousin off at LAX, we were talking about the fights and she said Yoel Romero had the most ridiculous body she's ever seen and it seemed like she was into it (if you know what I mean). I did a bunch of sit ups this morning and I'm going to try to get shredded before she comes back later in the summer lol. How many situps a day should I do? I can do like 30 before It starts to hurt real bad. How many situps do you think Yoel Romero can do?

I'm an OG. Are you saying that only the new breed of fanz are bitching about Romero's fat ass missing weight? GTFOAnd this new breed of mma fans also complain about people missing weight.

I never though Kolby would be thought of as 'pretty'. His look sort of grates at me personally.Hey guys!

The ONLY question that really matters...So did you fuck your friends cousin?
That's like, a beautiful Haiku or somethingHey, Sansnom here.
Starting to believe Kenny is a troll.

Is this one of those stories where your "friend" is actually yourself...and you actually want to bang your own cousin?
-Holly looked good, but Idk much about her opponent. I feel like that was a must win for holly too. She kind of revived her career.
-Covington was all he said he was. I was highly impressed. I actually like the guy
-De La Rosa and Couture looked awful
-CM is a joke, and you could bring a random guy off the street and that person might beat him
-Arlovski won that fight imho. It was close but it wasn't the right decision. I think there may have been a little bias in that fight (from the judges)
-Curtis blaydes looked pretty good. Reem needs to retire.
-Same for evens-glad he did
-Last but not least, Romero won the fight in terms of overall damage, but was not consistent enough to get the nod. I understand the judges dec bc they got it right.

You are missing the main point tho, colby beat a very good opponent in RDA. It doesn't matter if RDA did something wrong or had a bad game plan. Colby had a game plan that he knew would work and he went out and executed it. If RDA managed to out work him early on, I would expect colby to adjust or get beat. But that's not what happened. He stuck to what was working and who can blame the guy? RDA is a very good fighter and well rounded.I don't really see how colby's performance was impressive, first as i said before RDA rocked colby a few times and let him recover, 2nd colby's game plan worked because RDA played into his game thinking he can counter it, he literally let colby push him up against the cage and tried to hit some knees, but colby was too strong for RDA and was able to follow through on his game plan i really hope RDA and colby run it again someday, tyron woodley is going to knock out covington though because woodley is a legit fighter and is really good at preparing for fighters.
Well I think wrestling may not be the most interesting aspect of mma for a noob to start out watching. At any rate, do you have a crush on this young lady? You sound like you think highly of her? Take her on a date to an mma gym....Hey guys!
