Good. Now if they can come up with some fake lakes that clean themselves we're headed for a utopia.
Ya'll probably aren't going to like these either ...We need real trees. They clean our air, provide habitat for wild life, and provide shade and a natural aesthetic. The ones in the OP are ugly as fuck.

Almost?Almost looks like it says Shartflower on the inscription.
I really dont understand the hate.
Very clearly and as mentioned by the OP they are designed for use in built up areas where having live trees is impractical.
It's funny how many make up and then shoot down the idea of ripping up real trees just to replace them with these.
I can see them being useful in parking lots, train stations, busy city pedestrian areas.
I don't think they will ever become popular in places where the ground is actual soil.
This. We already have such things are shades over parking lots, canvas or metal canopies, Wooden structures over picnic tables, etc. This only difference with these is they are used for solar energy. Though honestly my guess is that that cost to build, wire, store the energy, and clean then isn't really going to be cost effective. and I wouldn't make them look like trees. That's just dumb.
From a distance I think they would better and less monotonous then grids of panels.
Can’t we have both? I mean, I don’t think they’re proposing we cut down the entire Amazon and replace it with those. We need real trees. They clean our air, provide habitat for wild life, and provide shade and a natural aesthetic. The ones in the OP are ugly as fuck.
well I guess they need to fix that.Birds can certainly nest in these trees.
No, we need to cut down the Amazon to plant soy... vegans got to eat. Can’t we have both? I mean, I don’t think they’re proposing we cut down the entire Amazon and replace it with those.
Sure, but TS was talking about all the negatives of trees not realizing we NEED them. They are filling whole parking lots here with Panels that provide shade for cars and protection from elements for the folks parking them. Way more surface area than these things. This just seems like a novelty. Can’t we have both? I mean, I don’t think they’re proposing we cut down the entire Amazon and replace it with those.
I guess. But I just thought it was a given that trees were important.Sure, but TS was talking about all the negatives of trees not realizing we NEED them.
