Depends on the toxicity of the situation. As a very young teen I was involved with a man who beat the fuck out of me for a few years. Sometimes I would say things knowing I might be punched in the face because I was a lot more intelligent and he couldn't have an answer. Did I deserve that? I won't mention names but someone here said I deserved the beatings because I cheated on him...regardless of it being payback for him cheating on me first. Should women be put in their place?
