Futbol Soccer...?

Started thinking that maybe I'm being unfair about soccer, so I watched a few videos, I was wrong, yep,......boring.

Guess it's like chess, fun to play but boring to watch.

Anyone actually find the game exciting to watch? What's a big score 5-4?

Am I just not getting it? Have to have played it to get it?
It's a defensive game with cautious bits of offense mixed in. I had a similar attitude to you when I was younger but developed a real love for the game. It really is about teamwork. Since the scoring is difficult, every possession could decide the game. Soccer is as much about suspense as it is about action.

As an adult, although I have never played, I wound up coaching about 18 different soccer teams over the span of a dozen years. It was one of the highlights of my adult life in terms of pure enjoyment. It's a great game.

It's like with baseball, do you prefer a 7-3 score or do you prefer 1-0? With the 1-0 game every pitch is important. With the 7-3 game no need to pay that close of attention.

No not really if compared to football.
lol there is much more but problem with soccer they do not PR that crap to oblivion when americans even PR guy who is 415 going 40 yards in 6 seconds lol nfl are slowest of all speed sports rugby soccer and so on

You keep proving with every post that youyknow absolutely nothing about any of this stuff at all, why you even bother is a mystery to me,

Dude, what is it about .......... the NFL has had a gang of WORLD CLASS/OLYMPIAN sptinters........... don't you understand? There are no soccer/rugby/baseballers/basketballer running sub 10.10, only one running sub 10.20.

There have been a dozen NFLers run in an Olympic 100 or 200m final. That's no other ball sport but NFL football.

Dallas Cowboy WR to be winning the Olympic 100m

In that same Olympics the 200m gold medalist Henry Carr a soon to be New York Giants DB.

4 years later a soon to be Miami Dophins WR wins the Olympic 100m and a soon to be Cincinnati Bengal WR wins the 200m.

Bone up on this stuff rookie.

There are no soccer/rugby athletes who can run with NFL players, how many former WORLD CLASS sprinters do I have to list?

Give me a fast soccer or rugby athlete, you can't do it can you?

So you can't name any fast soccer/rugby athlees how did I know that?

Works like this since you are obviously clueless.

We first notice the talent in high school, those who shine go on to play college sports. The colleges want them.. Then if you star at the level the NFL/NBA whatever wants you.

Ok pay attention.....

Once in pro sports what you did to get there isn't forgotten, it isn't ignored. If you were an Olympian you will always be an Olympian, you seem to struggle with that fact.

The NFL is unlike any other ball sport because of the wide variey of athletes invovled in the sport, you have the 350 pounders who can bench 500 pounds, you have the 6-4 260 pound TE's, the 190 pound 10.1ish sprinters, x long jumpers x hurdlers x high jumpers, x decathletes, x basketballers, no other ball sport can say that especially soccer, a sport little girls can play.

In todays pro soccer leagues give me a former world class sprinter, you can't do it. Give me a great sprinter from the past who was a soccer success, you can't do it.

Both soccer and rugby are....SLOW.....compared to NFL football. Simply a fact of life,

Most NFLers were multi talented athletes not just football players. that can't e said about soccer/rugby.

because no rugby or soccer playe spend all their lives running it. fastest soccer player runs 36 kmh so he could run 10.09 or something like that you base your numbers on 40 yard dash an college

Ok, lets give the soccer cat a 10.09.

NFLers at sub 10.10

Bob Hayes
Jim Hines
Trindon Holliday
Jeff Demps
Jacoby Ford
Ron Brown
Sam Graddy
Anthony Schwartz
Alvis Whitted
Darrell Green

There are five former Olympians up there.

Now a 10.09 is a 9.3 old yarder

9.3 or faster

Bob Hayes
Jim Hines
Frank Budd
Ray Norton
Willie McGee
Mel Gray
Isacc Curtis
Cliff Branch
Tommie Smith
Curtis Dickey
Henry Carr
JD Hill
Travis Williams

There are six former Olympians up there

Dude, how can you not get this? You honestly can't figure out the NFL is full of former world class sprinters while soccer/rugby aren't, really guy?

There are 10 I mentioned above who were world ranked, soccer....0.....rugby.....0.

Right now today the Miami Dolphins have RB De' Von Archane w ran a 10.12 while at Texas A&M.

DK Metcalfe was no sprinter, he wouldn't make te top 200 of NFL speedsters, a 10.36 is SLOW by NFL standards,

He was a Seahawk, the fastest Seahawk was Olympic 200m bronze medalist Michael Bates also a 10.10 guy.

Give it up rookie, you OBVIOUSLY know nothing about any of this at all.

The fastest player to ever play NFL football was Bullet Bob Hayes his 10.06 on a bad dirt track over 50 years ago trumps all other times by other NFLers.

Hayes was the first sprinter to break 6.0 in the 60 in a WR 5.9

He tied the 9.3 and 9.2 100 yard records, he was the first to run a 9.1 and he ran it 4 times.

He twice tied the 20.5 200 World Record.

He ran an astonishig 8.6 4x1 anchor leg also on a dirt track.

The former Florida A&M running back was part of 11 world records in his day.

That is the kind of athlete that ends up in the NFL. Hayes is still considered to be a legend in sprinting, an x college running back.

Ok who was the fastest ever soccer player? Not talking.....well Bolt.....hahahaha~~~~

NFL Speed

No Darrel Green isn't the fastest NFLer, not even close. While Hayes won Olympic gold Green lost to two other future NFLers in an NCAA 100m.

Green ran a 10.08 but was mre 10.2ish.

NFLers to be...

Frank Budd
Ray Norton
Johnny Jones
Ron Brown
Sam Graddy
Jimmy Hines
Bob Hayes

All ran in that Olympic 100m final

NFLers to be

Stone Johnson
Henry Carr
Tommie Smith
Larry Burton
Michael Bates

All ran in that Olympic 200m final

When ya can list a mile long of NFLers who ran faster than 10.36 and DK Metcalfe, trust me he;s nothing at all when talking fast NFLers. Obviously the fastest in soccer or rugby but not in the NFL.

Why do you keep talking about things you OBVIOUSLY know nothing about?

Fill in these lanes with 8 fast soccer.rugbyites past or present.

lane

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8

You can't do it can ya. I can list two 8 lane races just using the Raiders. Hell, maybe three,

I'm feeling the same about Football, i've tried to watch it but they are playing for 30 seconds then doing nothing for 2 minutes. Every sport is fun when you only watch the highlights
