So why doesn't Bisping fight at 170 pounds?

He doesn't seem much bigger than Lawler in build.

he has the most wins in UFC history.

If he ticks off 14 wins in WW I'm thinking he would have had a title shot

He's a good sized dude. Legit 6'2" with a good sized frame.

Bisping is too big. He looked the same size as Anderson.

I think he actually can make welterweight, but why should he?
IMO, the lower the weight, the more talent there is. So if you are in a good size for your weight, there is no reason for cutting lower.
The WW specifically right now is probably the most stacked category in the UFC, Bisping would do himself a favor if he stays at MW.

Because he doesn't want to look like Conor does weighing in at 145.

He started at LHW, which he was not adequately sized for. I always thought he'd make a better MW and I'm glad he made that drop. I can't see him making WW without being somewhat emaciated, which would be even more difficult given his age.

His face was just destroyed by a 40 yr old in MW.

He probably could make WW but that doesn't mean it would be the best move for his career. Cutting down to your lowest weight class doesn't seem to have brought much success to the guys that have tried it for the most part.

but he never got a whiff of fighting for the title though he has the most wins in UFC history.

he could make welterweight for sure he's 6'0 and not super thick but at this point in his career I don't like it. hes near the end

He's about as lean as you can get on weigh in day.

By a 40 yr GOAT, and in the end he won this fight.
He would get destroyed by every top 5 in WW IMO, maybe even by every top 10. The skill margin is just too great.

GSP holds the record for most wins in UFC history with 19, Bisping is currently at 18.
