Someone in the top-20 who he can show off his skills in front of UFC casuals. He needs/deserves to make some new fans first. Groom him a bit.

I feel like this is going to be another Ben Askren story.

Askren had a title with ONE and a big social media following because he was a good troll/talker on his channels.
Pico has some fantastic skills that include good hands, power and his wrestling. Only thing that worries me is his chin getting popped a few times

Aljo or Allen.

Both are in the Top 10 albeit not quite Top 5, which seems about right for Pico. He's a big name, but not someone you bring directly over and introduce directly into title contention IMO.

Aljo is a proven veteran who would provide a similar stylistic challenge to what Evloev would have and needs to rebuild. He'd really test that supposed Olympic-level wrestling of Aaron. If Pico successfully sprawl-n-brawls him or wins the grappling exchanges, that's a great name on his resume.

Allen is coming off a win, but not long before that was on a loss streak and again isn't really in a place to be calling his shots. I don't think he could/would turn down someone like Pico. In turn, Arnold represents someone who's well-rounded and can challenge Aaron in multiple areas while providing a very stiff challenge. Allen's tricky and has fought competitively with the likes of Holloway and Evloev; he's a very competent fighter and a great litmus test for a new signee and potential future contender IMO.

Max and Ortega are both moving up and Aljo and Emmett are both probably a couple fights away from retirement so the top 15 will change a lot in the near future.
Give Pico Arnold Allen or Lerone Murphy, would be a perfect co-main or possibly even main event if they are going back to the UK this year.

I'm a Pico fan...please don't give him Allen. Pico needs custom made matchups so he can do well for a while, then you gotta do what you gotta do after that and throw him to the wolves....but if I'm honest with myself there's no way in hell he gets through someone as violent and durable as Arnold Allen. The Evloev fight was perfect for him to pull off. Aljo could be good as well.

Ige and Kattar are probably the best fights to get him some Octagon experience and give him a good chance at a win. Even those guys might crack him though, he’s very hittable.

I don’t think he deserves a top 10 matchup yet. His resume is terrible, and he’s still a nobody to casuals.
