So whats the call on Nunes vs Cyborg?

Many say that Cyborg didn't knock out Holm because of the size, but that was a game of friends for sure and Cyborg took lightly only to win. Now, UFC is the most interested in Amanda's win, who humiliated their marketing-built-cash-cow Ronda, and I suppose Amanda will be juice to the gills on the fight. Even with this, Cyborg will humiliate Amanda, she doesn't stand a chance. Cyborg is more strong, more precise, better on gnp, has more gas tank... The only thing Amanda has better is judô throws and a little wrestling, and the hands power is good too, but the difference is the chin: Cyborg has a chin and Amanda hasn't.
 
I got Cyborg by late TKO

Nunes has had cardio issues before and I can see her quitting if Cyborg is the one pressuring and leading

I think Nunes showed apprehension fighting Val the second time, despite having a huge advantage in punching power. If she fights like that against Cyborg, she'll lose.
She needs to hit Cyborg early and hard, forcing Cyborg to pressure and play catch-up in the back half of rounds. This should open up plenty of counters.
If/When Nunes gets trapped, keep her back off the cage in the clinch, and throw hard off the break. Easier said than done though, obviously.

Difference is not the chin. Difference is size and strength. Nunes is lucky if she holds up three rounds.
 
Cris should win.

Nunes is will start strong but once she realizes she is in with a better, bigger version of herself she'll wilt.
 
I would’ve favored Amanda until Cyborg fought Holly. The patience, power and counter game she demonstrated was quite impressive. She’s proven to be more polished than she’s shown before. I expect a slow, somewhat dull fight. Neither of these two will blitz unless they catch the other clean outside. Too much hespect for the others weapons. Nunes will be hesitant. Look for her to throw low kicks similar to the Pennington fight. She had Rocky hobbled in minutes. They were very effective. Cyborg will fight slow early until she figures Nunes out. Might ramp the aggression late in rounds but I don’t see her approaching this in Wanderlei fashion. This fight means a lot to both of them in terms of legacy. They’ll be cautious.

Cyborg via 4-1 dec or late finish. She can comfortably maintain whatever pace she wants for 25 minutes without taking a round off.
 
Nunes gasses and gets finished. She's had trouble with BWs she couldn't bully, and Cyborg will outmuscle, outwork, and outbox her easily.

nunes barely scraped by to get a win against a smaller Shevchenko. The extra mass she is putting on will only reduce her cardio. I bet she'll be head hunting for an early KO in rounds 1-2.

cyborg will pick her apart. probably tko in round 3 or 4.

I think they're wrong too. Cyborg has gotten more technical and patient. She could've finished either Evinger or Holm much earlier had she wanted to, no one will absorb the punishment she can inflict for too long, and if they do (VS Coenen II) she goes wild and inflicts EVEN more punishment, the Bitch is crazy.

She also showed that she can deal with adversity, and with someone who isn't afraid to bring the fight: Coenen, Baars, and Holm brought it to her whenever they could, and she just outpowered them and ran through their punches.
 
I think Nunes is gunna look really good in the 1st two rounds, Sharp and fast and Joe Rogan and the gang are going to be going crazy, BUT....

From the end of the 2nd/start of the 3rd we will see a change I think Cyborgs pressure will be to much for Nunes and she will start to slow (which we have seen before) then Cyborg will start to catch her clean leading to a tko late 4th early 5th

Nunes crumbled after beating the fuck out of zingano for 5 minutes and not securing a finish and dipped on bullet 24 hours before their fight. Cyborg was mounted by Gina and out muscled by Holly. If you think cyborgs mental game is the more questionable of the two you will be surprised come fight night.
 
Some serious fem leather gonna be slinging either way, best wmma fight without GDR in it!
 
I only see two ways Amanda can win this fight and both are on the ground.

1. Sub (unlikely)
2. TKO via mount GnP (highly unlikely)

She can't knock Cyborg out and she can't win a decision.

Cyborg has too much chin and too much cardio. Cyborg also lands 2-1 against her opponents.

Cyborg can win via KO/TKO, sub, or decision.

Cyborg is a true professional, she has never had an off-night, a bad outing, or a loss in her entire career since her very first fight in 2005. In that time, she has never been in a bad spot or even lost a round except to maybe Holly. She has never underestimated her opponents or not trained adequately. Her mental toughness in the face of adversity is well documented in her Muay Thai fight against Jorina Baars. She will not fold. Since this will be maybe the toughest and most important fight of her career, I expect the very best Cyborg to show up. I don't see how Amanda wins this, Cyborg simply won't allow it.

I pick Cyborg by decision or late TKO

Cyborg takes a decision or a 4th or 5th round TKO. Nunes tends to get tired and Cyborg will likely pressure her and overwhelm her, especially late.
