Pena was charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor. Brandao was charged with aggravated battery, a felony. Not the same thing, but good try TS.

The thing that bugs me about this is the simple double standard rule.

Could not agree more. Now that he got dusted hope they send East packing. Was a horrible signing in the first place, never would have got his opportunity if he wasn't a HW.

Presumably the answer is because the public don't perceive the female fighters as legitimate threats; so if they're not damaging the UFC public image then why damage the UFC bottom line for the sake of consistency.

Brandao has done many bad things, failed drug tests, missed weight in a few fights, assaults, big attitude problem. plus the guy gets injured so much too, its not like he fights often. he isn't needed anymore.
