Suarez has way superior wrestling.

I dont see anyone in the division beating her at this point, she needs to go out, pick up any ranked win, and fight for the straweight title again.

Happy for Dern but also kind of sad that wmma is this bad. Her being the champ in what is suppose to be their premier division (145 got scrapped, 135 has historically been a joke, 125 is a hit or miss tweener division).

Seems like recently we've been seeing less wmma on main cards so someone upstairs is probably figuring it out

Joanna, Rose, Zhang would all beat her pretty easily imo if they decided to move back to the division.

She doesn't have the cardio to be top ranked fighter in main events.

She slowed after 1.5 against Zhang and got handled easily. Only reason she didn't get finished was because Zhang also slows herself after about 2 rounds and just sorta cruises from there if she can.

And then Suarez was gassed within 3 rounds against Lemos, after two rounds of the having the exact sort of fight she wanted. Suarez was cooked by the end of that and in survival mode just because she was tired. She would not have survived had it been 5 rounds.

And her striking is garbage.

Heck, Dern might actually beat her the more I think about it. Dern can probably latch on and nullify a lot of the GNP, and she likely isn't getting subbed. She's a better striker than Suarez too. Could probably just survive off her back for 2 rounds or so then take over easily.

She sorta did as expected. Got her down easily enough, but wasn't able to do much with it, and then gassed out really quick.

She was coming off a long lay off for that fight, so I thought maybe that played a big part, but then she looked even worse against Lemos, which was weird.

I thought the Zhang performance was actually a bad look for her. I mean, she did well to survive, but Zhang just isn't the best finisher these days. I thought Suarez just got her cardio exposed hard and had her aura stripped away.

Give Suarez better cardio and she could probably just wrestle her way to 5+ title defenses easily lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if she does fight Dern next. It's a fresh matchup.
