So I started collecting vinyl again

I'm in the midst of hooking up a pair of 1210s and the rest of the kit. First time I've had duel decks in 25 years, gonna level up this year. Lots of sampling and mixing to come, no idea if I still have the knack but I'm sure it will come back.

Bought a few job lots of used vinyl over the last week, will eventually do some rhythm roulette with them. Will make beats etc.

Got one lot of 50 jazz records, another 35 jazz, 80 odd reggae and dancehall and 150 soul.

I'm going back to basics, fuck the world and all it's bullshit.

Quick sidebar here, but the algorithm hooked me on to this guy. He just prowls the streets of NYC making beats for people and asking them if they want to get in on it.

He makes the beats on the fly.

I figured since you were putting your kit back together, you'd appreciate it.

That's good vibes, Marc Rebilet is the man for me when it comes to making beats on the fly.

I watched this stream below when it was live, with A A. Riggs - it was a trip. I miss that guy, hope he's ok. Minute bill or whatever

This has some great trippy beats

Just picked this up. First US press... Kinda rare, the label is misprinted with extra songs and the title shows "masters of reality". This was pulled within a year of release and reissued with the correct label.

Curious what ppl use for a turntable, if they actually play the LPs that is.
I literally have about 250 LPs from the 60s, 70s and early 80s in my closet.
All have been played of course but many still good shape.
I have a little stand alone turntable with it's own speakers, but c'mon.
Weak.
